THE SECRET OF FAITH

In a message that was briefly started during the live Saturday service and firmly continued during the Sunday Service, Prophet T.B. Joshua unveiled, in his own words, ‘The Secret Of Faith.’ In the message, he said, “Jesus Christ is the surety of every Word from Matthew 1 to Revelation 22. No Word from God is void of fulfilment for God watches over His Word to perform it. If any Scripture should go by default, Jesus becomes responsible.”

Speaking of the bold confidence a believer has to approach the throne of grace in prayers and supplication, he added, “When you know that the Lord is on your side, your heart becomes quiet. You look up into His face and whisper your request and you know it is going to be granted because it is your Father who is on the throne, it is your Lord who is seated by His side.”

He concluded that faith was not abstract as it could be practiced and told the congregation that despite the challenges life would throw at them, faith was there for them through it all. “In your challenges in life, faith is there for you,” he said. A time of testimonies, mostly concerning the Anointing Water, preceded the powerful message.

URINATION WITHOUT OPERATION

Mr Austin Uba, from Imo State, Nigeria came to the church with his wife, Rose and son, Kinsgley to thank God for His wonderful work in his life. He had suffered from a urinary tract blockage, such that he was unable to urinate for a painful period of months. He was referred to India for an operation, by a doctor who had given him a catheter to enable him to pass urine. However, he was told the operation, if conducted, would only have a 50/50 chance of success and there was a high probability that he may not be functional as a man thereafter. Having seen God’s power in action on Emmanuel TV, he decided to come to The SCOAN for healing. After receiving the Anointing Water, he prayed and sprayed it on the affected area as well as in his mouth.

Merely hours later in his hotel room, Mr Uba, to his greatest surprise and delight passed his urine normally without the use of the catheter! Upon returning to the hospital, the doctor said he no longer needed an operation as he was already healed. Mr Uba encouraged people to look up to God and counselled them that He could do for them what He had done for him.

A COCKTAIL OF DRUGS AND DESTRUCTION
Mr Raphael Kpogli from Ghana had been a drug seller, smoker and addict for some 30 years, dealing specifically in heroin, Indian hemp (marijuana) and cocaine, while living a life of recklessness, waste and violence. In a shocking account of the debilitating and destiny-decaying effects of drug addiction, he narrated his sordid life experiences. He literally had to smoke a ‘cocktail’ of these drugs before going to bed, talking communicably with people or even eating, his wife and children always afraid of him at home due to his erratic nature. Having travelled to over six countries as a drug dealer, he acknowledged that although he never used a gun, he had caused multiple deaths by introducing drugs to people. His insatiable lust for this ‘cocktail’ of chaos crippled him financially as he sold cars, properties and even stole his wife’s clothes and jewelleries to sell to pay for his indulgence. A once thriving and intelligent man was reduced to a nervous and hate-filled wreck, staying in a single room in a house for months on end and only emerging to purchase more of the poison that was slowly crippling and killing him.

However, his wife, whom never doubted that one day God would turn her husband around, kept praying for his life to change and stood by him through thick and thin. When a few drops at the bottom of a bottle of Anointing Water were given to the Kpogli’s, Mr Raphael had no idea that within them contained the freedom he so sorely needed. After ministering the Anointing Water, Mr Kpogli said he felt a cold sensation envelop his body, as if a wave of liquid love was cascading through his entire system and reverberating within to eject all dependency on drugs and the darkness that embodied them. Mr Kpogli, who was about to embark on a rare journey to Accra, was worried at how he would complete the journey without taking the drugs. However, after many hours of travelling without even a thought of the substance, he realised that all previous craving for the drugs had disappeared. He tucked into a hearty meal and completed it, the first meal he had finished without taking drugs in 30 years. After three weeks of a drug-free life, he travelled to The SCOAN to share this life-changing testimony, exhorting friends who were still in the same business to abandon a life fuelled and filled by drugs which had reduced most of them to criminality. He said people must depend on God to be released from their plagues and a life of uncertainty.

TUTORSHIP FROM ABOVE

Miss Taffy Mukombami came all the way from Ireland to share her remarkable testimony. The Zimbabwean student explained that she had been both stressed and depressed because of the challenges she had faced to gain citizenship in Ireland. However, after discovering Emmanuel TV, her situation changed drastically. After being opportune to receive the Anointing Water, she prayerfully sprayed it on her application form for citizenship and sent it off. To her greatest surprise, a couple of months later, her residency was granted, something that some people had been waiting years to receive!

Aside from this, Taffy had also been facing difficulties with her Master of Arts Programme and almost took a year off due to the tremendous stress and pressure. However, at the verge of giving up, she saw Prophet T.B Joshua appear in her dream, take her to the library and show her the books she needed to study to perform excellently in her academic pursuits. Upon waking up, she was shocked to discover that the books he had divinely pointed out to her were exactly what she had been looking for. After the submission of her thesis, which she proudly showed the congregation, she explained that her results were suggestive of her obtaining a First Class a result, an achievement she knows is a product of Divine providence.

BARRENNESS EXPELLED
After being barren for nine long years, Mr and Mrs Ebong Victory came to The SCOAN to share their wonderful testimony. Medically, the couple had been diagnosed as having a low sperm count. Mrs Ebong had come to The SCOAN in April 2012, got the Anointing Water and prayed with her husband. After a month of administering some, she became pregnant. She promised to come for thanksgiving soon, with her child. Her husband was obviously full of happiness as he stood close to her in church. She said people should trust in God have faith because He is the Author and Finisher of our faith.

In another wonderful testimony to God’s provision of fruitfulness, a video was replayed showing Prophet T.B. Joshua prophesying to a woman, asking her of a medical report and revealing that her stomach had been cut though the purpose was neither achieved nor her menstruation regular. Mr & Mrs Anvor Ely from South Africa came forward in response to the video. After many years of barrenness, Mrs Anvor had undergone an operation in her womb but the result remained unsuccessful. However, after visiting The SCOAN and receiving the prophecy from Prophet T.B. Joshua, the couple decided to trust in God for supernatural provision.

They narrated how after the prophecy, Prophet T.B. Joshua had counselled them in the office, stating that the sickness was ‘cancelled’ and giving them Anointing Water. After ministering it and continuing to trust in God, building their faith by listening to messages on Emmanuel TV, Mrs Ely became pregnant! She stood before The SCOAN congregation to testify that she was now several months pregnant, to the glory of God! Mr Ely thanked God for the inspiring messages on Emmanuel TV and exhorted viewers that Jesus has the solution to all fundamental issues of life.

POSSESSED BY PORNOGRAPHY
A video was replayed in which Prophet TB Joshua prophesied to a woman about her marriage and how the internet had played an active role in their relationship. Coming forward with her husband to confirm the prophecy, Mrs MacAlexander explained to the congregation how the prophecy was true. A Kenyan working in Nigeria, she said she had not seen her husband more than twice in two years due to his regular travels but they talked trough the internet.

They would regularly strip naked before each other on a webcam and even engage in household activities such as cooking while viewing each other’s nudity. However, both soon took to watching pornography on the internet to satisfy themselves, soon birthing an addiction that almost crippled their marriage. The few occasions they did manage to spend time together, Mrs MacAlexander explained that the couple had no affection for each other whatsoever and she had determined within to leave the marriage before the prophecy was given. Although she had a well paid job, she explained that she could not give any account of how she spent the money, adding that after she had started viewing pornography, she began to sleep with a strange man in her dreams.

Her husband, Alexander, from Imo State, Nigeria, reiterated what his wife had said. They had met in Nairobi, Kenya five years ago but had barely spent months together as he was a regular traveller. After talking on the internet, he also had resorted to masturbation and pornography, too. He explained he began to have harrowing dreams of sleeping with a strange woman and finding himself in a cemetery with dead people. Career wise, despite connections and experience as a music producer, he found himself in a cycle of disappointment and missed opportunities.

Prophet TB Joshua spoke on the tortuous nature of pornography, a sin he stated was even worse than fornication. He said up to 70% of the world populace struggled with pornography, specifying that the youth in particular were affected. Following their confession, TB Joshua assured the couple that deliverance, restoration and reconciliation would follow and they would not leave The SCOAN unless they were completely free.

FROM CHURCH-BOY TO CULT-LEADER
A video was replayed in which a young man manifested after prayer from Wise Man Racine at The SCOAN prayer line and the spirit spoke through him that it was a strong man which has been in him since birth. Chinedu Anagor and his parents came forward following the clip to share their experiences. Chinedu, a graduate of music from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, was an obedient, trustworthy and churchgoing young man before his entrance into university. However, influence from bad friends and a desire to feel part of the ‘crowd’ led the intelligent student to delve into the dark arrays of cultism, as he was initiated into the ‘Buccaneers’. Confessing that his parents were hearing this for the first time, Chinedu explained how he displayed a different attitude at home while growing steadily deeper into cultism and its attendant diabolic activities at school.

His roles in the cult graduated to include initiating other students, consulting oracles on the cult’s behalf and acting as a bodyguard to the cult leader – all high ranking positions. With little concentration on his academic career, Chinedu ended up spending 10 years in university before graduating, deceiving his parents that he had completed his course whereas actually he hadn’t. He confessed to the fact that he raped girls, caused violence and threatened people, though maintaining a pretence of calmness and coolness to the casual onlooker. Through God’s influence, he was finally delivered at The SCOAN, after which he began to genuinely regret his past actions for the first time. Falling to his knees in tears, he begged T.B. Joshua to assist him to apologise to his parents for his disrespect and lifestyle of lies and deceit. Shedding tears, his aged father embraced his son, as the congregation looked on, many themselves wiping tears from their eyes at the touching reconciliation and incredible change in the life of Chinedu through the deliverance. Prophet T.B. Joshua counselled parents to learn a lesson from Chinedu’s experience and ensure their children are regularly in the house of God.

ABILITY IN DISABILITY

One of the events of the day was the giving of scholarships to various physically challenged students who are part of The SCOAN Scholarship Scheme. The students were given different sums of money according to their various scholastic needs, totalling N3 million. They included the blind, crippled, deformed and amputees. One of the spokespersons of the group, Olurundere Adenike, said she had no support for education, and when admitted to the University of Lagos, she had dropped out for lack of funds. However, she eventually gained admission to the University of Ibadan to read Languages and English, requesting assistance from Prophet T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV Partners to pursue her academic dreams of excellence. Also, Emmanuel Aderemi, a student of Political Science, University of Lagos, also spoke on the uniqueness of the opportunity given them to be part of the Scholarship program.

The service was concluded in a fiery Mass Prayer in which the finger of God Almighty manifested mightily among the congregants. As the Prophet remarked, what a God we have to worship, what a son we have to praise and what a future lies before us. To those whose lives are centred in Christ Jesus, better is not good enough; the best is yet to come.

This is an official message from Prophet T.B. Joshua from his Facebook Page, ‘TB Joshua Ministries‘:

“The co-ordinators arranging groups to visit The SCOAN in each country of the world, don’t forget your promise when you were called to be co-ordinators.

“Your promise, if I may remind you, was to give rest to the sick, distressed and unsaved. This is the only we can commit more faith and love to the society of which we are a part. God’s goodness will continue towards us if we respond by obeying Him, by giving rest to others and by helping our neighbours.

“In Matthew 25:45, Jesus said, “Whatsoever you do or fail to do to the least of my brothers, that you do unto Me.” In other words, Jesus was saying here, “I have no farm where I expect you to work for me or an office where I expect you to help me in checking files. My farm and office are your fellow brothers. Whatever help you render to the least of them, whatever problem you help someone else to solve, that you render unto Me.”

“I have received many emails and newspaper reports on the internet complaining of registration fees of $100. What then makes us an evangelist? When people go to concerts, they also register with $100. If we are evangelists, co-ordinating for God’s sake, all our concerns, aspirations and heart desires must be subjected to the Gospel through works of charity by helping the sick, distressed and unsaved instead of collecting registration fees of $100 from them before giving succour, I mean, attending to them. This cannot be justified; it amounts to taking a portion of their situation. If we are focused on making money only, a large slice of life will pass us by. We should spend less on ourselves and more on others.

“Those who have already paid $100 for the registration should be refunded, for God’s sake. I am impressed by the prompt action of the co-ordinators in Tanzania and Zimbabwe who have been refunding the $100 paid by each person as a registration fee. I believe all others will act likewise.

“He who honours a prophet because he is a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward.

“Season’s Greetings.”

The SCOAN Saturday and Sunday services attested to the power of the living and resurrected Christ at work in the life of Prophet TB Joshua and the five wise men as person after person were set free from their past and released into their divine destinies.

Later, Prophet TB Joshua spoke specifically on Sunday on the subject: Christianity is a relationship, part of which he had introduced on Saturday. Using Matthew 22:1-4 and 37-8; John 21:15 and 1 Corinthians 12:7-8 as proof texts, he said Christianity is not a religion but a relationship and that Jesus Christ came to restore the relationship and fellowship between God and man. He said relationship exists where there is love. Nothing will keep us on course like a deep love for God. Nothing will carry us through hard times like a sincere devotion to Christ. When there is no money in the pocket, it is the love for Christ that will keep us on course. He said ministry does not begin with a relationship with people. It begins with a relationship with God and that relationship overflows to people. And when you have a relationship with people, you need to know where that relationship flows from because relationships begin with God and then to people.

The prophet added that the main thing about Christianity is not the work we do but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. He said supernatural gifts given to a minister are different from man’s natural talents, abilities and education. He said the principal challenge we face in the church today is that people use their natural gifts for God’s Work and that has reduced God’s Kingdom to human knowledge. Moreover, he continued that Jesus never asked Peter if he was a gifted speaker, a talented leader, or whether he had seminary training or Bible knowledge. According to the prophet, those things are important but they are not the issue. The issue is quite simple: The basic qualification for a lasting ministry is found in Jesus’ question, “Do you love Me?” In other words, do you have a relationship with Me?

Aside the significant sermon are works of prophecy, charity and moving testimonies by worshippers at the church from the world over among which were the following:

HENRY CHUKWU ONYEAMA – EXPERIENCED VISA BREAKTHROUGH THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

The Enugu state born Nigerian businessman had experienced poverty, dejection and stagnation in his life for years. He even sold some of his personal belongings such as cars, television and even the mattress he slept on, just to recover from the stroke of economic uncertainty. But he soon laid hands on the Anointing Water as an avid viewer of Emmanuel TV with which he prayed and ministered and after six days, was invited into a business which instantly fetched him one million naira in profits. Stung by the quest to further his education, he had applied for admission in Ukraine but at the Nigerian Embassy, he was denied a visa.

He also attempted to go to South Africa to accomplish his dream but this hit the rock. He then wrote to ask for an invitation by a business concern in South Korea, ministering the Anointing Water on his documents.

After four days, contrary to the normal practice, he had gone for an interview at the Korean Embassy and was successful.

With his visa at the ready, he hopes to leave Nigeria for Korea in a few days. He advised that in every situation, people should look up to God and that the Anointing Water should be seen and appreciated as a special gift from God for this generation of believers.

FELICIA NGWUTA – DELIVERED FROM EVIL FORCES THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

Mrs Ngwuta told the congregation in church how God dealt with evil forces plaguing her peace in her own home. She said she used to experience visits of snakes in her dreams. Her well kept money in her wardrobe was always getting lost and there was a time she was even shot an in the dream. She was so tormented and has to visit The SCOAN, during which she ministered on herself and the entire house.

She was surprised to later discover a dead snake in her wardrobe even when there was no outlet through which it could have come in.

Displaying the photograph of the decayed snake, which did not smell inside her wardrobe, she said since then, her money has stopped getting lost and she has not experienced any bad dreams. Cheerfully, she implored people to go to God to solve the riddles of their lives because solutions lie only with Him.

HEALED OF STROKE THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

This oil businessman had experienced a devastating stroke but was triumphantly restored to health through the Anointing Water. When under the affliction, he had journeyed to The SCOAN from the Republic of Benin on 4^th October, 2012. His vessel was expected to go for inspection but his health mattered more to him. He had visited different hospitals that had rejected him as he could neither stand nor talk. The stroke had affected him physically to the degree that part of his mouth was bent owing to the affected muscles on his face and mentally, when his wife and family visited him, he did not recognize their presence for four days. His wife prayed for him using the Anointing Water and in the name of the God of Prophet T.B. Joshua, and he recovered the use of his hands; his bent mouth was restored and he could speak once again. The doctors later confirmed him medically fit, for which he showed his medical report as evidence. An astonishing revelation came when, during his testimony, he admitted he knew he was lucky to survive as his elder sister who similarly suffered a stroke attack three months after his, had died. Finally, he concluded with the word of advice that the Anointing Water had become his spiritual battleaxe and weapon of war. Full of joy, his wife testified that the Anointing Water shows that God is ultimate in power and that people should trust in God and run to Him, when faced by challenges beyond their control.

ANTHONY AGUNU – SAVED FROM A GRUESOME ROAD ACCIDENT THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

Mr Agunu based in the Republic of South Africa, decided to visit his home in Nigeria in December of 2012 but not without first visiting The SCOAN on 27^th December where he was privileged to receive the Anointing Water .

On the 31^st of December, he travelled to his home State of Delta but forgot to pray and minister the Anointing Water before embarking on the journey. During his trip, another car moving out of control at high speeds smashed into his own vehicle.

As they were shouting Jesus, they discovered that though the car was badly damaged beyond repair, neither Mr Agunu nor any of his passengers were injured. As he showed the picture of the crash scene, he thanked God and encouraged others not to toy with the idea of embracing and using the Anointing Water.

MRS LUCKY EDWARD – DELIVERED FROM 32 YEARS OF SMOKING AND DRINKING THROUGH ANOINTING WATER

She said that she had smoked for some 32 years, 23 of which had actually driven her to smoke marijuana to stem the emotional pain she encountered in her marital home. The problem had started at the age of 17 when her schoolmates told her that in order to be cool she had to smoke and drink alcohol.

She explained that the friends were the most popular in her school and she desired to be seen like them, therefore she engaged in their addictive behaviours. Initially, she coughed and spluttered on the cigarette smoke but was told it was normal and as she took more, she would enjoy it the more. The addiction formed and she got to the level of being able to consume four packs of cigarettes every day. After marrying her husband and upon falling pregnant, her mind began to change and she wanted to drop the foul habit but found to her dismay that she was unable to.

Then she began to move from churches to prayer houses to get delivered from the chain but without success until she was introduced to Emmanuel TV where she became convinced that the power of God in the Anointing Water was real.

On getting her own bottle of Anointing Water and ministering it to herself, she went to sleep. It was a week later that she realized that for the past week, she had not even the urge to smoke a cigarette or take a single drink since ministering the Anointing Water. Today, she is full of gratitude to God for her deliverance and advises that people should go to real men of God to solve their problems.

MR GODFREY – SAVED FROM A TRAILER CRASH THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

In 2012, Mr Godfrey had visited the church and received two Anointing Stickers both of which he placed on his truck as a professional transporter. On one such long haul journey, Mr Godfrey saw in the distance that a tanker had had an accident blocking the adjacent lane for oncoming traffic.

His own lane however, being unobstructed thought little of it and continued to accelerate. Suddenly, with horrific speed, a large speeding lorry crossed into Mr Godfrey’s lane while trying to pass round the obstacle and collided with Mr Godfrey’s truck slamming the two vehicles into the already crashed tanker with such horrible force that the drivers section or head of the oncoming lorry was thrown into the air and across the street.

The conductor died on impact and the lorry driver was in a critical condition, but at the moment of impact, the Anointing Sticker Mr Godfrey kept on the shelf of his truck floated down to land over his chest and both he and his co-pilot came out of the valley of the shadow of death without a scratch. Without words to express his appreciation to the God of TB Joshua, he advised all that if God was with you, no weapon fashioned against you would prosper and that God’s protection was the only protection.

MR AND MRS AMADIKE – HOTEL RESCUED FROM ATTACKERS THROUGH EMMANUEL TV

The middle aged couple run a popular hotel as a business outfit and in each of its guestrooms is installed the Emmanuel TV cable to allow all the visitors to view the wonders of God as they enjoyed their stay with them. In the dead of night, strange noises were heard throughout the hotel as unknown gunmen raided the hotel, breaking down doors in search of the proprietor, Mr and Mrs Amadike, to demand their money or their lives. The couple locked themselves inside their room and prayed with Prophet TB Joshua watching Emmanuel TV as the rampage continued. When the invaders could not find the couple, in the course of their fury, they broke one of the window panes of Mr Amadike’s car parked in the hotel forecourt. Instantly, the car alarm went off and confusion descended upon the raiders like a heavy blanket thinking security guards were upon them, they took to their heels only to be caught by patrolling policemen who took them into custody and seized their ammunition. The couple advised that Emmanuel TV was no ordinary station and people that stick to it as their channel of choice would surely reap the reward.

MR AND MRS ROMANUS UDEAKU – DELIVERED FROM BARRENNESS THROUGH PROPHECY

A couple came to testify of the irresistible power of prophecy, telling the worldwide audience that Prophet TB Joshua had prophesied to Mrs Udeaku that her underwear had once gone missing and since that time, she had suffered irregular menstruation which was the cause of the couples 16 years of infertility.

The couple had gotten to the point of desperation that they were considering adopting a child but two weeks after confirming the prophecy of the man of God to be true, Mrs Udeaku conceived and has since delivered a beautiful girl named Precious.

Mr Romanus Udeaku said that at the age of 53 this was his first child even though it was not his first marriage and he had faced the same problem in his first step in life. With the soft smile of glorious vindication on their faces, the couple simply said if you want God to do the same for you, just believe Him through ordinary circumstances. He is not a man that disappoints.

TWO ZAMBIAN PILGRIMS REWARDED FOR THEIR FAITH

Another chapter of testimony closed in the annals of history as two pilgrims who braved the danger of travelling by road to The SCOAN in Nigeria from Zambia in Southern Africa, a journey taking them 44 days to complete, stood before the congregation with the happy faces and hearts of those whom the Lord has located in His mercy and favour. The men recounted their experience of the bitter trials they faced on the way to the church prompted by their financial hardship which had cast doubtful shadows over the furtherance of their education with all their efforts hitting nothing but the rocks of frustration. Spurred on by their keen interest for the works of charity performed on Emmanuel TV, the friends stirred with radical faith, departed on their mission passing through seven countries including CAR, Tanzania, Kenya, Mali, South Sudan and Nigeria. In a nutshell, the hazards of their journey had taken their toll surviving on bread and water where it was available, encountering hostile natives, rough border checkpoints, wild animal attacks and insensitive bystanders but through they were silent in their trouble, they did not silence their faith and hope and by God’s grace, they made it to The SCOAN. Prophet TB Joshua remarked concerning the determined duo that he was touched by their faith and on behalf of the ministry and Emmanuel TV Partners gave them each 2000 USD; flight tickets back to Zambia and his promise to support their educational pursuits. The men who made a journey of 44 days would return home in just one spoke to youth all over the world that once they had made a heart decision, they should be determined concerning their future and the sky would be their limits.

MR ALEX ALABA AND HIS SIX CHILDREN

Mr Alex and his children were given the sum of half a million naira to support their upkeep and education as they went back to continue their lives in the peace and comfort of reconciliation in Christ Jesus. The man of God declared that each of the children would be awarded scholarships and were to decide if they would move to live with their father or stay with the family who had raised them thus far.

However, the former Pastor Alaba was advised to return to his career of driving and remove the title Pastor from his name for the time being unless God Almighty spoke again on the contrary.

Personally thanking each of the guardians of Mr Alaba’s children, Prophet TB Joshua said he would see each of them in his office to discuss the future and give a special blessing for their love, care and understanding shown in this unusual situation.

An extraordinary end to an extraordinary situation, God Almighty has once again proved that nothing is impossible to those who believe and sending the families on their way the man of God gave each person three bags of rice.

THE OBASI FAMILY DELIVERANCE AND RESTORATION

Mrs Shelly Obasi and her family, who had been delivered from the destructive use of demonic entities which had given them evil power to seduce, destroy and steal from those who had not learnt to walk in the Spirit in Christ Jesus.

The mother and daughter, Princess who had both manifested during previous services at The SCOAN and were delivered from the hands of the devil testified of how the peace of God had enveloped their hearts and now their desire was to return to South Africa, the children to continue in their education, and their mother, Shelly, to return to her business, grateful for the freedom they had received in the name of Jesus Christ. After providing flight tickets for the family of five, the man of God TB Joshua also gave the family N600,000 to launch them into their new lives. The tearful, quivering voice of Princess Obasi thanked the man of God and Emmanuel TV Partners on behalf of the family.

MRS LENA OFOSU – AN UNNERVING ACCOUNT OF THE REALITY BEING A WIFE TO A MARINE SPIRIT

Mrs Lena Ofosu, stood before the congregation while a cassette was played documenting how the Emmanuel TV Team accompanied her on her return to her shrine in Ghana where she had practiced as a wife to a spiritual husband, spiritualist and queen mother in the marine kingdom. Now, delivered from the spiritual husband that had plagued her life since birth, Mrs Ofosu exposed the kingdom of the devil and the many ritual practices she had been involved in since the age of 14.

She described and demonstrated the way she was taught to serve her spiritual husband and recounted the disturbing visits and their destructive effects on her life and marriages causing death, poverty, failure and immorality. Then, Lena Ofosu went on to divulge the secrets of the spiritualists and their demonic influence on society, her having been released from their dark tentacles.

The Goliath in her life had truly been defeated and disgraced by the light of Jesus Christ and she told the congregation not to doubt what they saw in The SCOAN because it was real; she was a real agent of darkness and had done so much damage. Therefore, others should learn now to maintain a strong relationship with God and never let Him go.

INDONESIA AND CURRENT PROPHESIES

The man of God, Prophet TB Joshua then reminded the worldwide congregation of some of his recent prophecies, some of which had recently come to pass including the horrendous flooding in Indonesia and the reiteration of some of his prophesied made on New Year’s Day and a few new prophecies to the nations of France, Germany, Nigeria and the United States of America, further details of which would soon show on Emmanuel TV as the events came closer.

The man of God reminded all and sundry that prophecy was to expose the intrigues, plan and strategy of the devil and stop them by coming together to pray. Clearly, the response of a humble believing soul is to take the Word from the mouth of the Lord and commit it to God in prayer for His favour and mercy. He, who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit is saying to the churches.

The Saturday and Sunday services at The SCOAN , February 9-10, 2013, were attended by people with a passion for the presence of God from all over the world. The services were marked by the astounding healings and hard-hitting deliverances in Jesus’ name, sounding a strong spiritual wake up call to an unbelieving generation wallowing in the gloom of their circumstances and adding to the continual joy of those being saved. The Sunday programme anchored on prophecies to individuals as revealed by Prophet T.B. Joshua and the laying on of hands by the Wise Men, punctuated by glorious testimonies given by diverse people to attest to the touch of God in their lives.

During the Sunday service, Prophet T.B. Joshua addressed issues peculiar to different countries and people the world over, with many lessons of life to be gleaned from the experiences of individuals concerned and for the sharpening of the like precious faith. He had, in last weeks’ service, asked the congregants to bring to church small flags of their countries for special prayers. They had obeyed and his prayer centred specifically on the socio-political and economic travails in many countries of the world in contemporary times.

Prophet Joshua said that he carried, “the flags of all nations in my heart.” He said Emmanuel TV would rebroadcast the prayer so that people could connect to it and join him to pray for their own land and people. The flags are a symbol and for contact to the nations worldwide and that the congregation should return their flags to their personal altars hereafter for continued supplication.

The man of God mentioned some of the well known ills of society such as injustice, robbery, occultism, corruption, exploitation, child kidnapping and murder, shedding innocent blood, tribal conflicts and political misrule and mismanagement to clearly illustrate the reasons why there was need for prayer for the nations.

Using Jeremiah 1:10 as a proof text, he said representatives of each country had a duty to look up to God for solutions to their particular travails. He asked the believers and viewers all over the world a soul-searching question, “Everybody wants prosperity but how many are ready to do the work of prosperity?” adding that people needed to be honest and sincere in all they do in order to achieve God’s kind of success. His prayers for the nations took the form of a kind of confession. He asked the worshippers worldwide to take the points raised, one by one which were applicable to their nation and seek the Lord Jesus in broken-heartedness. “We are here today to confess all the sins and wrongs of the lands of our ancestors, leaders and the people. We plead for forgiveness and mercy in the name of Jesus.” The prophet prayed that the Lord should save the nations from destruction and judgement. He also prayed, “Lord Jesus, redeem our nations, lands, continents and countries of all the sins we confess and the ones we have not mentioned” – a reference to the body of evils and immoral conducts which he had already listed.

Prophet Joshua also prayed to the Lord Jesus Christ in humility and faith, declaring “I command all the forces of darkness hindering the move of God in our lands, be cast out, in Jesus’ name. We ask for Your deliverance and healing power on our countries.”

A summary of the spectacular testimonies given to glorify the Lord Jesus and admonish believers all over the world to remain steadfast to the hope they had been entrusted with, are as follows:

Mr Paul worked in an oil and gas industry. One day, an accident occurred and his leg was burnt with fire. They rushed him to the hospital and the doctors said they needed to amputate his leg. He explained the situation to his friend who came to the hospital with Anointing Water he had received from The SCOAN. After ministering the Anointing Water in Jesus’ name, his leg started to itch. Suddenly, two live maggots came out of his leg. He discovered that as the maggots left, the pain also stopped. The fire burns quickly began to heal and the doctor confirmed that he no longer needed an amputation. To God be the glory – He is the Repairer and Restorer!

Mr Moses, aged 27, came to The SCOAN in need of deliverance from a life of smoking, drinking and patronizing prostitutes. He had begun smoking at the young age of 7 years old. This had caused him severe chest pain and nightmares in which people came to beat him in his dreams. One day, a friend came to him with the Anointing Water, advising that he needed a change in his life. He encouraged Mr Moses by telling him that if he put his trust in Jesus Christ, God would wash away his sins and wipe the stain of guilt away from his life. With this belief in his heart, he prayed and ministered the Anointing Water, in Jesus’ name. After prayer, he slept. The next morning, he reached for his morning cigarette. To his surprise, the smell of the cigarette irritated him. He tried smoking but could not. It has now been over three months and he has not once smoked, had a drink of any alcohol or visited prostitutes. He gives glory to God and encourages the youth that no matter the lifestyle they have engaged in, Jesus Christ can set them free!

Mr Amos Augustine shared a fantastic testimony of how our God, Jesus Christ rescues, saves and delivers. He said that he always ministered the Anointing Water before going to work and carried the Anointing Water with him wherever he went. One morning, he was attacked by armed robbers. They were threatening his life and property. As the armed robbers collected his wallet, they began shouting that the wallet was burning their hands and threw the wallet back at him demanding that he should open the wallet! Mr Augustine then opened the wallet to see what had caused the fire burns and the Anointing Sticker fell out! Shocked, the armed robbers started shouting and ran off. Truly, God can use any medium to rescue His children!

Mr Peter, a soldier serving his country, Nigeria told his wonderful testimony of how Jesus Christ had healed him through the Anointing Water from a terrible liver problem. He was in terrible pain and discomfort as he had been diagnosed with liver enlargement which caused a swollen stomach. The problem was so severe that he was booked for an operation. Believing for a miracle, he received the Anointing Water and ministered it, in Jesus’ name. The next day, he began vomiting and black substances came out of his system. To his surprise, his stomach became normal! He went back to the doctor and was confirmed to be perfectly healthy. There was no trace of an enlarged liver. The astonished doctor asked him, “Which medication did you use?” Replying with a smile, Mr Peter responded that it was God’s doing through the Anointing Water. Glory to God! Speaking to the congregation, he said, “God has given me another opportunity. He has given me another chance. Doctors can treat; only Jesus can heal.”

In his own words, Mr Zira Yohana, an agent in the petroleum industry, was a “professional drunkard”. He said he could drink between five to six cartons of alcohol a day. For 17 years, he was inflicted with the severe problem of intoxication and lamented how he used to beat his wife after drinking alcohol. He also said that nobody could ‘out drink’ him when it came to alcohol. One day, he told his friend about his bad habit and his friend gave him the Anointing Water. After ministering the Anointing Water, the urge to drink alcohol left him completely. His life has been radically transformed and he is now an example to all. He advised everyone to seek forgiveness from God in order to stop their bad habits.

Mr Samson from Cameroon ran an organization that cared for widows and orphans. They occupied a building where their charitable activities were held. One day, they were reported to the authorities by a group of people who claimed they were inhabiting the building illegally. As a result of this report, everyone in the organization was arrested and put in prison. He appealed the court’s decision many times but his attempts to gain his freedom were to no avail. He knew that he had been imprisoned innocently. In prison, he had the opportunity to view Emmanuel TV. He began to watch it regularly and prayed along with Prophet T.B. Joshua. He repeated the prayer point of the man of God who stated that all who were imprisoned by contrary forces should be released, in Jesus’ name. Believing that his prayer had been answered, he sent another appeal to the magistrate for release. Three days later, the magistrate called him and gave him a letter of release! He says that if he had not been watching Emmanuel TV and joining the anointed prayer with Prophet T.B. Joshua, he would still be in prison today. He advised all who found themselves in desperate situations to look to Jesus Christ for their freedom and vindication. He is the freedom provider!

Mr Nnadozie was a chain smoker for 16 years. This caused him serious chest pain, heart burn and cough. He spent a fortune on cigarettes as he smoked 5 packs a day. He would go to church with cigarettes and excuse himself during the service to smoke. He would even go to the restroom with cigarettes! The day he resolved to give up, the urge actually increased and he smoked 10 packs! The problem became worse. When he came to The SCOAN, he was also carrying a packet of cigarettes with him. For some reason, however, he did not feel the urge to smoke throughout the entire service. He received the Anointing Water and ministered it, in Jesus’ name after the service. A moment later, he tried to light a cigarette but felt like acid was running down his throat. He started to vomit black substances and from that moment on, the urge to smoke disappeared! Thanking God for the wonderful miracle, he said that even the smell of smoke irritates him now. Surely there is nothing Jesus cannot do.

Pastor and Mrs Patrick shared their incredible testimony. Mrs Patricia Patrick had suffered not one but two ectopic pregnancies that had been very traumatic for her. In the course of this problem, she underwent an operation and both of her fallopian tubes were removed, making it medically impossible for her to conceive.  Still believing that God would show Himself strong in her seemingly hopeless situation, Pastor Patrick came to The SCOAN and received the Anointing Water. She prayed together with her husband, ministered the Anointing Water in Jesus’ name and the mother of miracles happened! After prayer, they met as husband and wife and Mrs Patrick became pregnant! They went to the hospital for a checkup and the doctors were amazed to find that both of the fallopian tubes had been totally restored!  Full of joy, Mrs Patrick told the viewers and congregation, “My advice to women who might have lost hope: The same God who restored my two tubes which were cut off, shall surely visit you, in Jesus’ name”.

Mr Joseph Genesis shared his testimony of God’s supernatural protection through the medium of the Anointing Water. He suddenly found himself caught in a surprise attack from armed robbers. Seven armed men descended on him and pulled out guns to kill him, not knowing that he was armed with a superior weapon! That morning, he had ministered the Anointing Water on his body before leaving his house. He stated that the power of God in the Anointing Water created a protective shield over him and due to the Anointing Water, the bullets that were fired on him could not enter him! The armed robbers could not believe their eyes. Filled with courage at the supernatural protection, Mr Joseph began to spray the Anointing Water towards the armed robbers and they ran away in defeat. Proudly showing himself to the world that he had escaped without a scratch, Mr Joseph said, “The Anointing Water is a bullet to the wicked, evil spirits!”

Chief Superintendant of Police John Mark, a Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in Anambra, Nigeria came out to testify how God had touched the lives of police men in his division after he shared with them the Anointing Water he had received at The SCOAN. Two of his police officers accompanied him to The SCOAN to share their testimonies. Mr Sunday Idris, a policemen under CSP John Mark, had suffered from the embarrassing affliction of bedwetting for two years. When he received the Anointing Water, he prayed, believing that God would put an end to his suffering. After that prayer, he testified that that chain of affliction had been broken and bedwetting was a thing of the past in his life! Mr Phillip then came forward with his wife and twins, Emmanuel and Emmanuela to thank God for the miraculous release of their son Emmanuel after he was kidnapped. Armed robbers took the child and later called, demanding a ransom of N20million, an impossible amount of money for Mr Phillip to raise. The father ran straight to his DPO, John Mark. In response to the devastating news, Mr Mark gave him the Anointing Water and told him to minister it in faith, in Jesus’ name. One day after he ministered the Anointing Water in prayer, local police were given a tip off to the robber’s location. Emmanuel was recovered uninjured that very day and returned to his parents! A national Nigerian newspaper covered the story of the robber’s capture, terming Emmanuel’s release as ‘miraculous’!

Mrs Ogwe Juliet, a Nigerian living in Cameroon told the world of her amazing testimony of how the Anointing Water had saved her from an armed robbery operation while onboard a ship from Cameroon to Nigeria. When the ship alarm was raised, alerting that thieves were in their midst, Mrs Juliet quickly remembered the Anointing Water and sprayed it over herself, in Jesus’ name. The ship was in a state of confusion as the thieves were robbing everyone in the ship. Amazingly, Mrs Ogwe Juliet was left in peace as the armed robbers seemed not to even notice her. A man who was also present on the ship took his money out of his pockets and placed it on top of one of Prophet T.B. Joshua’s sermons which he had received from The SCOAN. He offered it to the armed robbers, saying, “Here is my money; take it” but the armed robbers refused to take his money! Speaking to the congregation and viewers, Mrs Ogwe Juliet said, “Don’t call it ordinary water; it is anointed. There is power in it – the power of God. The power of God is above all powers”.

Mr Azawei Alanuene, a university lecturer, gave his testimony of how God had taken him from a nobody to somebody. Eating from hand to mouth for 10 years, his life was a constant struggle but when he ministered the Anointing Water in Jesus’ name, his destiny turned around! After prayer, he was suddenly called by his supervisor and told that he had been granted a scholarship to further his research by studying a PhD in The University of Nottingham, UK. He travelled to the UK for the course, continued ministering the Anointing Water over himself and his coursework and conducted ground breaking research in his specialized area. To his surprise, he was selected to present the findings of his PhD research in an international conference in China.  Glory be to God!

Mr Waziri from Taraba, Nigeria was addicted to drinking alcohol for 17 years and could drink up to 14 bottles a day. He did not see the need or have the desire to stop but one day after watching Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV prophesying to a man about the very same drinking problem, he realized his need for freedom.  As Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for the viewers, he stretched his hand and touched the screen in prayer. Instantly, the desire to drink left him and he was completely delivered in the power of the Holy Spirit. After that prayer, everything about his life was transformed. His health, business, marriage and joy were restored! Even his appearance changed as his once large belly, due to excessive drinking, shrunk back to normal. Advising those who are desperately in need of a solution, he quoted the words of Prophet T.B. Joshua, saying, “If you have run out of rope, it is time to grab onto faith!”  Hallelujah! There is no bad habit, addiction or negative lifestyle that cannot be broken, conquered and defeated by Jesus Christ!

All in all, we are reminded that the main thing about Christianity is not the work we do for God but the relationship we maintain and the atmosphere produced by that relationship. Our work for God is a reflection of our relationship with Him. We should therefore, take time to develop our relationship with the Holy Spirit by daily reading our Bibles with devotion and making the Word of God the standard for our lives.

 During Prophet T.B. Joshua’s message on Saturday, he asked a significant question,

“When you look at your life, what do you see? What does Jesus see?” Adding that if you examine your life, you will find out how much faith in God you have – Food for thought!

THE PRINCIPLES OF MAINTENANCE – WISE MAN DANIEL

Wise Man Daniel gave an inspiring message titled, ‘The Principles Of Maintenance’. In his message, he used the example of blind Bartimaeus to talk
about how we can maintain our blessings from God. He said that when people are sick and in need of healing, they promise Heaven and earth but do little or nothing when they are healed. He said that there is healing, blessing and deliverance in God’s Word. When we are delivered, blessed and healed, we should be ruled by God’s Word so that it shall remain permanent.

ANOINTING WATER TESTIMONIES

BEDWETTING SINCE BIRTH

Precious, from Libya shared a powerful testimony of how she was delivered from the terrible problem of bedwetting which she had from birth. Aged 32, she said the problem of bedwetting had caused her two marital breakups, constant shame and embarrassment and regular thoughts of committing suicide which had robbed her of her social life. In her own words, “I wet my bed every single day of my life; whether I slept in the morning, afternoon or night, so far as I closed my eyes, I must wet my bed.” She was unable to sleep outside of her home due to the shame and indignity that accompanied the terrible affliction. Precious had visited various churches, spiritualists and witchdoctors for a solution but none was forthcoming. Even when she attended a crusade for prayer for the problem, she bedwet that night in the presence of the large crowd gathered!

Precious testimony started the day someone introduced her to Emmanuel TV whilst she was in Libya. Whilst watching Emmanuel TV, she saw a couple who was delivered from the same problem she had after they ministered the Anointing Water. Inspired by these testimonies, she continued to pray along with Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV. Then, one night, she had a remarkable dream. A strange man, who had been appearing to her since the age of 12, came with a knife to attack her and cut her in the throat. Then, suddenly, two of the wise men appeared, holding the Anointing Water in their hands. They sprayed the Anointing Water on Precious and the wound immediately closed up and the giant man ran away. Ever since that divine encounter, all traces of bedwetting in the life of Precious completely stopped. She began sleeping freely for the first time in her life and decided to travel all the way from Libya to The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria to testify to the world about her remarkable deliverance.

GOD REWARDS THE OBEDIENT

Mr Timothy Jacob was an ordinary banker in his country in Cameroon. He had experienced stagnancy in his career, being in the same position for 14 years. Things were not moving and were difficult for him and his family. He came to The SCOAN and received the Anointing Water. He said that before ministering it, the Holy Spirit spoke to his heart that he should take good care of pregnant women, handicapped people and the needy who come to the bank he works in and that he should give them special attention. He obeyed the instruction in righteousness. Three months after ministering the Anointing Water and obeying God’s instructions, he was awarded ‘The Best Western Union Operator Of The Year’ in Western Africa. He was also promoted to the position of an Accounts Manager.

THE CYCLE OF POVERTY BROKEN!

Mr Anthony Orji was passing through a cycle of poverty, backwardness and failure that had left his business in tatters and his finances crumbling. He was unable to even pay the house rent for himself and his family and was facing the prospects of being thrown out of his home. To feed his family was a challenging task and the future seemed bleak. However, when a friend introduced him to Emmanuel TV, his fortunes began to change. Mr Orji decided to visit The SCOAN and was privileged to receive the Anointing Water. After ministering it, a radical transformation took place! His business began to change as customers started coming from far and wide. Merely seven months after his visit to The SCOAN, Mr Orji had built his own house, which he proudly showed the picture of. Six months later, blessings continued to flow and he was given two new plots of land! Aside from this blessing in his business, his wife who was experiencing an overdue pregnancy, safely delivered her child after calling the Emmanuel TV Prayer Line. Glory be to God!

ALCOHOL ADDICTION EXPELLED BY ANOINTING WATER

Mr Tawah Samuel, a Cameroonian, was a chronic drunkard. He used to drink eight bottles of beer every single day. After his boss at work met him drunk at work on three separate occasions, he was sacked from his work. All of the money he earned or was given ended up being spent on alcohol. It was an addiction he simply couldn’t stop by himself. However, after seeing similar testimonies of deliverance from drunkenness on Emmanuel TV, Mr Samuel decided to visit The SCOAN to receive the Anointing Water. The day he ministered the Anointing Water was the last day he tasted or touched alcohol! He said that immediately after ministering it, the urge for all alcoholic beverages vanished. Mr Tawah, speaking from his own personal experiences in life, advised the young people to be careful of alcohol and to stay close to God.

DIVINE PROTECTION

Mr Okonkwo Ugochukwu from Imo State, Nigeria, whilst travelling from Delta to Lagos, encountered a group of armed robbers who stopped the bus he was travelling in. Before embarking on that journey, he had ministered the Anointing Water, as was his usual habit. The armed robbers commanded all the passengers in the bus to come down from the bus but strangely left him alone in the bus. The bandits collected all of the money and belongings of others in the bus but didn’t demand anything from him. It was as if he was invisible to the armed robbers who were there. After the armed robbers had left, he was the only one whose possessions were secure. When a fellow passenger asked to use his phone after the armed robbers had left, he saw that the picture of Prophet T.B. Joshua was on the screen. The rest of the passengers said they understood why Mr Ugochukwu was untouched, since he had ministered the Anointing Water and served the God of Prophet T.B. Joshua. He advised people to always be prayerful when embarking on any journey and to minister the Anointing Water, asking for God’s grace and protection.

A MIRACULOUS REFUND!

Mr Steven, a Ghanaian businessman who had partners in China wanted to send a large amount of money across to China.  However, unbeknown to him, internet hackers had accessed his email account and knew he was planning to send the money. The hackers deceptively sent a different bank account to him, pretending to be his business partners. Mr Steven sent a total of $70,000 to the fraudsters account. It was only after a meeting on Skype on the internet with his business partners that Mr Steven realised what had happened. The case was reported to the police but they said there was nothing they could do as the money had already been received and accounted for. Mr Steven travelled to China to try and rectify the situation and meet his business partners but the bank said there was nothing they could do since already the money had fallen into wrong hands. However, Mr Steven prayed in faith and ministered the Anointing Water, in Jesus’ name upon all the relevant documents with him and went into a meeting with the bank in China and his business partners. To his greatest surprise, the money was refunded to him – an almost unheard of occurrence. To God be the glory!

A FORCE STRONGER THAN FIRE!

When Mrs Obichere Pat heard the news, she was left in stunned shock. She was told that fire had started in her compound and her house was seen going up in flames. Rushing home, she discovered that a miraculous incident had occurred. The fire had completely consumed her generator and surrounding buildings but suddenly stopped at the door of her house. Why? Because the Anointing Sticker was placed on the door! Mrs Obichere explained that there were many electrical appliances within the house that would have gone up easily in flames but the fire stopped without any logical explanation at the foot of her door. Truly, we are sheltered under the shadow of God’s protection.

A CAR REBELLING AGAINST ITS ROBBERS!

Mrs Happiness Nwabor was among the thousands of congregants in The SCOAN who received the Anointing Water. Strengthened in her faith by the testimonies of others, she resolved to minister the Anointing Water every day before embarking on any journey. On a fateful day, Mrs Happiness was travelling in her car with her children when unknown gunmen attacked her. The gunmen treated her mercilessly and threatened to kill her. In the midst of the ordeal, she was praying, ‘God of T.B. Joshua, save me!’ Whenever the gunmen heard this prayer, they commanded her to be quiet.

The bandits instructed her to leave the car and demanded for the keys. In their attempt to steal the car, a wonderful miracle happened! Astonishingly, the car that had been working well suddenly stopped working the moment the gunmen entered it to try and steal it. For over one hour, the car ceased to work, despite all of the efforts of the assailants. Eventually, the gunmen ran away, confused at what had happened. When the gunmen had left the vicinity, Mrs Nwabor checked the vehicle and it was in perfect working order! She drove off safely with all of her children, who had been hiding in the bush during the incident. What a mighty God we serve!

ARM AMPUTATION CANCELLED THROUGH EMMANUEL TV!

Mrs Esther Iwuala was involved in a ghastly accident that left her unconscious and in a critical condition. A good samaritan rushed her to a hospital where she was taken to the emergency clinic. Wounds covered her body, especially her arm which was literally reduced to flesh and bones. Upon all medical efforts, the wound refused to heal. The doctors told Mrs Iwuala to prepare herself for the amputation of her arm, stating that this was the only medical solution.  Hopeless and isolated, Mrs Iwuala cried herself to sleep that night. The doctors gave her seven days before the amputation was to take place.

During that week, Mrs Iwuala began watching Emmanuel TV in the hospital. On the night before her arm was to be amputated, she asked for the assistance of the nurses to get up. They had no idea what her plan was. She asked them to bring her close to the television where Emmanuel TV was playing and lift her arm up to the screen to touch it. She repeated this act of faith three times, as Prophet T.B. Joshua was praying for the viewers. The medical staff were making jest of her, not knowing that a mighty miracle was taking place!

The next day, the doctor who was to conduct the operation was unable to come for the appointment. Mrs Iwuala pleaded with the nurses to replace the bandages on her arm, stating that she was feeling a strange warm sensation running throughout it. Reluctantly, the nurses replaced the bandages. When the doctor came to perform the amputation surgery a few days later, as the bandages were removed, the medical personnel there were shocked to discover that the wound had dried up!!! Utterly astonished at the transformation of her arm, the amputation was cancelled and just a few weeks later, Mrs Iwuala was released from the hospital, her arm completely restored, with only a scar remaining. The medical practitioner who was in charge of her case said that in his fifty years of medical experience, he had never witnessed such a miraculous recovery. Thank You, Jesus Christ!

WALKING FROM THE WHEELCHAIR

Miss Alice Kwaje Williams came all the way from South Sudan to The SCOAN with a life-threatening situation. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a very active form of bone cancer that led her to be confined to a wheelchair. Medically speaking, the only option given was for them to amputate her leg. Once a bright university student in Uganda, she was facing the prospects of life without one of her legs. The situation was so critical that she could not put any weight whatsoever on her leg or move it an inch. After being booked for an amputation, Alice and her mum returned to South Sudan to meet with her family. The family, having watched Emmanuel TV, resolved that the only solution was to bring her to The SCOAN in Nigeria. Coming from a very poor home, they were financially crippled due to the amount of money her father had already spent on her hospital treatments. More than 100 people came together to contribute enough money for her and her parents to travel to The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria. Even the way she got her visa to Nigeria was miraculous. Her parents were told that it was impossible for a visa to be granted for a temporary passport. However, when they saw Alice’s condition and learned that she was coming to The SCOAN, they decided to issue her the visa immediately.

Even before her journey to The SCOAN, Mrs Williams had a dream where Prophet T.B. Joshua approached her and said, ‘Mama, don’t worry, your daughter is already healed.’ That strengthened their faith all the more. Upon arriving in The SCOAN, Alice was arranged at the prayer line. As Wise Man Daniel prayed for her, Mrs Williams said that she saw a bright white light envelop her daughter and she knew that the moment of healing had come. Immediately after the prayer, Alice began to walk for the first time in six months! She has since stayed two weeks in The SCOAN, spending time in God’s presence and recovering her strength. After hearing of the amount of people who came together to contribute towards her journey to The SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua compassionately gave the family $3,000, to their greatest shock and surprise. The testimony ended with the family joyously dancing together.  There are no natural words to describe it except to say, ‘Thank You, Jesus.’

WHEN GOD SPEAKS THE WISE LISTEN

The man of God spoke concerning the accurate football prophecies he had given in the past and more recent times. He said when God speaks, the wise listen. The man of God replayed video footage of a football prophecy he gave concerning Nigeria and Guinea in 2011 and the fulfilment of that prophecy. As a communicator between the visible and invisible, Prophet T.B. Joshua watched the game of the Africa Cup of Nations between Nigeria and Guinea in a vision before the match was actually played. He said in 2011, that the game would not be favourable for Nigeria and that whoever scored first would win the game. It happened just as he had seen it in the vision God gave him; Nigeria did not qualify for the Africa Cup Of Nations in 2011.

Prophet T.B. Joshua asked God what he could do and God instructed him to pray and fast for three days, which he did and God showed him the way. After he had fasted and prayed, God told him that Nigeria would smile again. A week before the Africa Cup of Nations final match between Nigeria and Burkina Faso, 2013, Prophet T.B. Joshua singularly prophesied that Nigeria would win and this prophecy was published in a popular Nigerian newspaper, PM News, a week before the match took place! Indeed, Nigeria smiled as they took the Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa this year, 2013!

The Saturday and Sunday Live services on Emmanuel TV were as exciting to the viewers worldwide as they were for the congregation thronging the seats of The SCOAN Headquarters. Starting with a dynamic prayer line service, the five Wise Men went forth cloaked in the light of God’s purity and the fire of His Holiness to dispel every shade of darkness in the life of the congregation. Whether the darkness appeared in the form of sickness, disease, demonic oppression, poverty, setback, limitation and failure, when the light of God came on the scene, darkness had no hiding place. Just as it was during the earthly ministry of our Lord, Jesus Christ, everyone who received a touch from the Wise Men received a touch from Heaven with the anointing to break every yoke.

THE ROAD TO YOUR DIVINE DESTINY

Wise Man Harry preached an encouraging sermon titled: The Road To Your Divine Destiny In which he exhorted the listeners to look unto Jesus Christ in times of testing to see them through their dark moments into the bright futures set before them in Christ Jesus. He said, “The road to your divine destiny is not a bed of roses. There will be trials, temptations and challenges. Joseph believed his dream. To protect our dreams, we must stop the language or the vocabulary of the victim. Before Joseph got to the position of honour, he suffered humiliation, rejection, embarrassment, temptation, false accusation, and so on. For you to be in a position of honour, you must experience the same thing. On the road to your divine destiny, you need a vision to stay on the right track. As a man of vision, no matter what constitutes the obstacles on your way, you can never be stopped.”

FAITH COMES THROUGH THE WORD

Prophet T.B. Joshua enlightened the congregation and viewers on how they could ‘bring Jesus onto the scene’ in his message titled, ‘Faith Comes Through The Word’. Mark 16:17, “In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues.” This Scripture is useless, baseless, until we act on it. Acting on the Word, brings Jesus on the scene. If you do not act on the Word, God is impotent in you. It is acting on the Word that builds faith in the believer. Jesus Christ preached the Word, healed the sick and broke the power of demons over men. Apostles preached the Word, the sick were healed and multitudes were recreated. To preach the Word means to preach Christ because Christ is the Word. John 15:16 “Whatever you ask the father in my name, I will do.” It’s not every time we say, in the name of Jesus we bring Jesus on the scene. Only faith pleases Jesus. Only faith brings Jesus on the scene. On the scene, means here, now. In our gathering here, if Jesus is involved, healing, deliverance takes place. By looking into the Word and acting on it, we bring Jesus on the scene.

A Cameroonian Health and Safety Officer in Dubai, Mrs Carine Virgine testified how distance was not a barrier to the real, authentic and forceful power of God. Despite all her qualifications, she was unable to secure employment. There were just four days left for her visa to expire and she would either be imprisoned or be forcefully repatriated to Nigeria according to the law in Dubai. She watched Emmanuel TV on the internet in Dubai and while praying with Prophet T.B. Joshua during the viewer’s prayer, she vomited out thick substances. A friend then came to visit her who had just left The SCOAN and gave her a bottle of the Anointing Water, telling her that if she believed, she would have her testimony within the next four days. She immediately ministered the Anointing Water.
The next day, a call came to her from a man who said her CV was before him and he had no questions for her other than if she was satisfied with the terms of the job she had applied for. He forwarded her CV to the Human Resources Department and she was invited for an interview. She was told to check her email box and discovered that a private jet was waiting to take her to Abu Dhabi, the Administrative Capital of the United Arab Emirates for the interview! She took the flight and committed the interview into the hands of God and the manager of the company even received her at the airport. To her further surprise, there was no interview at the end of the day. The interview was merely to show her round her new accommodation including a swimming pool, gym and restaurant on site! She is now appointed as the Health and Safety Officer of The Anatara Group Hotel Franchise, one of the biggest hotel chains in The Middle East. Her advice simply encouraged us all to truly believe in God and our prayers would be answered.

DEADLY FAMILY CURSE OF DIABETES SHATTERED THROUGH THE ANOINTING WATER

To some, diabetes has become a normal way of life. It is just something they have to put up with. But in the Ochiba family, diabetes was a silent killer. After two of Mr Ignatius Ochiba’s brothers had died of diabetes, his family was shaken at the stunning news that he had himself been diagnosed as a diabetic. Instantly, his health fell into decline, perpetuated by weakness, pain and fatigue in addition to sleeplessness and restlessness caused by the frequent urination accompanying the sickness. This motorcycle dealer was down on his luck to say the least. His business was steadily going downhill until there was a terrorist attack in his state. After the bomb blast in his area, his shaky business became drastically worse. After going through the tension of securing a loan from his bank, putting up his house as collateral, he was further frustrated to the point where his loan even expired and his bank manager turned his back on him. After the loan expired, he still could not sell his products, occasionally selling a single bike in two weeks. He could not even pay his children’s school fees and his house was endangered for the now expired loans he had taken.  In the midst of his situation, a nephew encouraged him to come to The SCOAN to receive the Anointing Water. DENNIS SAMUELS – DIRECTOR GENERAL FOR A COMPUTER COMPANY

From the time he became a partner of Emmanuel TV, he had been praying for the grace to be a committed one. He was among a few of the privileged who received an Emmanuel TV badge. A prayer partner was also assigned to him – one of the wise men. Each time he had an issue, the wise man would pray with him and counsel him over the phone. In January, 2012, his company received an invitation for a big exhibition in Burkina Faso. He managed to raise funds with his entire staff and set off for his j

ourney to the exhibition. When at the airport, his phone rang. It was his prayer partner, the wise man. He asked him where he was going and Mr Samuels explained that his company was elected to be a part of a big exhibition in Burkina Faso. The wise man counselled him and advised him to go ahead, that God would go with him. In accordance with the words of the wise man, Mr Samuels’ company was the star of the three day competition in Burkina Faso, as God favoured his company. Everything happened as the wise man had told him and he was given an award for ‘The Best Hope In Computer Security’. 

In a subsequent phone call from his prayer partner, the wise man, asked him, “When last did you check your blood pressure?” He said, “Please, can you go and check it and call me back”. Mr Samuels said that he went to the nearest clinic to test his BP. He was shocked when the doctor  who had asked him to wait came back with a perplexed look on his face asking Mr Samuels how he had come, that his BP was not only high but at the crisis level! The doctor advised him against driving and wanted to hospitalize him. Mr Samuels called his prayer partner who told him that that was the reason he had called him. His prayer partner then proceeded to pray with him and within a week Mr Samuels’ BP was back to normal.

He advised that to be a partner of Emmanuel TV was not about having a partnership number, “You need commitment. God is monitoring your activity. Be consistent and sincere in what you are doing. God is the rewarder of all things!”

MAN MADE A MILLIONNAIRE MOMENTS AFTER A MIRACLE

He and his wife were separated. He got a call from his mother that his wife was in The SCOAN. He laughed over it because he did not believe in The SCOAN. His wife called later saying she wanted to see him at the church. So he came. Wise Man Daniel touched him during the service and that was all he could remember of his deliverance. He used to go to a river to fetch water as a child. He went, caught a fish and went to eat it. That was the River Ethiope. He noticed a fair lady sitting at the riverbank that day. He noticed cowries on the riverbed where she was, bent and picked them up. A similar fair lady came in his dreams and demanded for her cowries back. He was a teenager then and in fear, he awoke, ran out of the house and threw them away. The spirit of the River Ethiope appeared to him the next day in a dream and said that she owned him. Since then, she came in his dreams and he started having serious wet dreams. He would see her physically and if she wanted to come, she came with a cold presence and no matter what he was doing, he would have to look up and they would make love. His parents started suspecting him of being possessed and once found him on the floor crying and shouting where nobody else was.

This spiritual wife affected his life by addicting him to chatting with girls on the internet and giving him the spirit of lust to womanize. His career and business were also destroyed by the malicious spirit. One such instance occurred when a lady came to his travelling business and paid 300,000 towards travelling to the United Kingdom. As the money entered his account, his business folded up over the following weeks. Each time he was about to get somewhere in a business, the spiritual wife would come into his dreams and tell him that that business was dead. Every time the spiritual wife killed a business, she would give another idea for businesses which would immediately catch on until the evil spirit again would crush the business.

The spiritual wife was extremely jealous of him and any woman who came near to him, would face immediately attacks. There was a terrible case where a girl who stayed with him during his school times, started bleeding in her brain which stopped immediately she moved out from the same house as him. The spiritual wife then led to separation from his wife.

So, when he came to The SCOAN and was delivered through Wise Man Daniel, life changed entirely. The affection for his wife was fully restored and he had peace as the spiritual wife and wet dreams then became a thing of the past. While he was still at The SCOAN for a week, he got a call that he should come back to his state for an urgent parcel. The man of God said he should attend to it and when he did, he found that it was a document which he had not applied for but offering him a contract with AGIP oil company to the tune of $200,000 which was an equivalent of 38,000,000 naira. That was not the only breakthrough he received. The prophecy had revealed that she went to Europe where she did prostitution. After showing the video, the woman who was present in the service said that the man the prophecy concerned, Lawson, was introduced to her by her sister. He had promised to take her to Europe to work in a bar and wash plates. So, they went to a herbalist to make a covenant by taking hair from her private parts, armpits and blood from her forehead that she would have to pay him 50,000 euro after she started working in Europe, to which she agreed. The man then slept with her before taking her to the airport to travel. When she got to Europe, she was surprised that the man gave her some sexy clothes and told her to work on the street as a prostitute. She was taken by 6 men on the first night and from there, slept with between 40 and 50 men every day over the next two years before she finally paid the money. She fell mysteriously sick and the hospital told her that her kidney was damaged and needed to be removed before it affected the other kidney and could become fatal. She had to undergo surgery and was left with only one kidney. She was repatriated to Nigeria when she cried out to her embassy and returned to Nigeria with nothing. She started by asking for forgiveness from the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, stating she had blasphemed and said so many bad things, spreading rumours against T.B. Joshua and his ministry with the intention of destroying him and his ministry. “Every evil thing you could think of, I said it against him” she said.When she was young, she craved power. A spirit entered her and she saw herself always on top. When she went to university, she joined a female cult where she became the ‘number one’ in that cult. She took girls on the campus for initiation. She used to take the girls to a forest under the pretense that they were going to a party. She had a hundred powers she collected from a witch doctor and said “The more you looked at me, the less you would see me”. Once she raised her hand and said something, people would abide by whatever she said. She would consult a herbalist who would clear the coast for her any time her cult planned to do an initiation in the forest. The code was that they would wear a black bra. They would tie their eyes and she would bring the prepared concoction. She would bring out a razor and force the girls to take an oath during the initiation to take their blood. She would put the blood in the concoction and tell them to drink it which would make them high. After the initiation, the power would tell them the evil things they should do.

She said the day she started spreading a film blaspheming T.B. Joshua, that was the day things turned against her. She left school and got married but the curse on her life remained. A friend told her about the testimonies on Emmanuel TV. She went home and had a dream about T.B. Joshua, in which the man of God told her she should ask God for forgiveness, that she had sinned against the Holy Ghost. She began watching Emmanuel TV after which she came to The SCOAN and received her deliverance through the Wise Man. She said she encountered Jesus that day through the prayer of the Wise Man. She stated there was no gain in joining secret cults.

MTN PROJECT FAME STAR DELIVERED AT THE SCOAN

Denise, a 28 years old who was brought up in the USA said she never knew that the devil had so much control over her life until she was set free at The SCOAN.

Her mother was a drug addict – at two months old, her mother gave her to her aunt in America who was unable to have children at the time. When her aunt had her own biological child, then she started maltreating her. The authorities heard of it and locked up her aunt. Later, her aunt decided to send her back to her mother but at this time, Denise did not know that the woman she had grown up with was her aunt and not her mother. She was deceived that she was going to Chicago to stay with her favourite uncle but found herself in Freetown, Sierra Leone. After this, she was to board a flight to Liberia, unbeknown to her, to meet with her mother for the first time. When she was about to arrive, they said there was a war on in Liberia and they could not enter the country at that time. Then she was taken care of by the flight hostesses until there was a ceasefire and they could enter.

Another lady saw her when she was crying in the airplane and started talking to her about Liberia where she was going. As soon as they got to Liberia, the war started again. Denise’s only clue as to where she was going was to find a lady called Gloria who she was going to be staying with. When she found Gloria, she said, she was told to take Denise to her biological mother. She had not been able to find her because the mother was always taking drugs and high. When they finally found her mother, the mother was dirty, smelly and carrying a newborn child. For a while however, she enjoyed the motherly love she had never had for the next three days. On the third day, her mother told her that she had to grow up now; this was not America. Her mother then started using her to get money by leaving her with men and it was just the grace of God she said that none of them ever raped her as the deal had been between them and her mother.

To escape from her mother, she found a rich boyfriend who was into and introduced her to drugs, smoking and drinking. But when the war restarted again, the man gave her money and fled. So, she also tried to flee and got to Ghana. In Ghana, she was wasting her money on her drug habit and when she got high on drugs, she would start singing. A day came when she tried singing at a Karaoke Bar, and the owner liked her voice so much, they employed her to be singing there. That was her first job. So, she started building up a new life again. She auditioned for MTN Project Fame and got to seventh place, whereas there were only five winners. The Project Fame organization did however give her a $2,000 prize with which she got her first apartment for two years. So, she realized that competitions were the only way she would be able to make clean money without sleeping with people. There were several older men who offered her help for sex which although she didn’t want to, she had no option as her money was all gone. After sleeping with such men, not one of them could fulfil their promise.

She got seriously sick and then, became suicidal. She tried to kill herself three times but someone would always come in and save her at the last minute. One of her friends said he would take her to The SCOAN and as she was wondering if it was another spiritualist or ‘juju man’, he said, ‘‘No, I am taking you to God.’’ She said, “Okay, if it is not God, after this, I am leaving this earth because I am tired”.

The road was rough and the devil really opposed her coming to The SCOAN, even making her to fight the man that tried bringing her to the church but in the end, she got to The SCOAN and received the deliverance she had never even dreamed of. Now, she is happy, delivered and free from all her addictions. She wants to give her life to Christ and asked Prophet T.B. Joshua for advice and instruction for her future.

Happy Easter! The Sunday service started with the prayer line section where many people from across the globe came to seek a touch from our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Many who came with neck collars, lumbar corsets, walkers and crutches received their miraculous healing through the power of God working in the lives of the wise men. We also saw many dramatic deliverances during the prayer line and laying on of hands sections of the service as the evil spirits in the lives of the people were exposed and expelled by the matchless power of Jesus Christ. Prophet T.B. Joshua also exposed the root cause of the problems in the lives of many as he moved around the auditorium prophesying.

Prophet T.B. Joshua explained the meaning of John 4:24, “God is Spirit, and His worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth” by saying that those who worship God without depending on God’s Spirit to worship Him, worship a god they do not know. When you worship a god you do not know, surprises come. He said that God’s power works through both His Word and His Spirit. He added that God’s power cannot work through His Word alone; we need both God’s Word and His Spirit to make it work in our daily lives.

In his message titled, ‘The Supreme Sacrifice’, Wise Man Harry reminded us of the meaning of Easter.  He said that Easter is a day set aside by Christians to commemorate the resurrection of the One who paid the supreme sacrifice for our sin (Isaiah 53:3-6). The Easter period offers us the opportunity to once again reassess our lives in order to stay focused on Christ Jesus.

ARMED ROBBERY ATTACK THWARTED

Mr Christopher Mba, a Nigerian residing in Togo, was among the thousands of those who received the Anointing Water upon his visit to The SCOAN. In subsequent journeys, he decided to minister the Anointing Water, praying for God to shelter him under the shadow of His protection. As he prepared to travel on another journey to The SCOAN, he ministered his Anointing Water before embarking on the trip. While on the journey, he and the other travellers with them encountered a group of armed robbers who halted their vehicle and demanded that they produce all of their belongings. The bandits were armed with heavy weaponry. Immediately, Mr Mba began to pray and announced to the robbers that the vehicle was travelling to The SCOAN. As soon as they heard this, the armed robbers stopped their operation and said everyone should continue their journey. Mr Mba was astounded as he was carrying finances in excess of N1million. He advised everyone travelling to minister the Anointing Water before embarking on any journey and commit their lives into the protecting hands of Heaven.

PROPHETIC WORD RELEASES BREAKTHROUGH!

Mr Sibangani Mabode came to The SCOAN from Zimbabwe with the problem of joblessness, which had stretched for two long years. Despite his impressive professional qualifications, all applications he made were turned down for no clear reason. When he came to The SCOAN, he received the Anointing Water and was also privileged to meet with Prophet T.B. Joshua who told him that he saw him come to work in Nigeria. Mr Mabode was initially confused because he had no intention to work in Nigeria and had never applied to a Nigerian firm for work. A few months later, a UK-based firm emailed him out of the blue, inviting him to head a project based in Nigeria. Shocked, Mr Mabode immediately remembered the prophetic word he received! Without even undergoing an interview, he was employed by the company and an impressive financial package was agreed on as his monthly salary for the duration of the project. After two years of joblessness and financial challenges, he is now fully employed and will begin work on a huge construction project in Nigeria in just a few days time. Indeed, a prophet of God shall say that which he shall live to see accomplished!

PROPHETIC PROMOTION – ‘YOU WILL BE A KING IN YOUR CAREER’

Mr Edema came to The SCOAN with the challenge of stagnancy in his professional career as a customs officer. After many years of faithful work in customs, he had not experienced any form of promotion and seemed to be staying at the same point. Upon going to The SCOAN, he was given the Anointing Water and Prophet T.B. Joshua prophetically told him that he would become a ‘king’ in his field of work. From that point forward, he continued to minister the Anointing Water and began to experience a huge breakthrough in his career. He led a team of customs officers for over two years and was subsequently given an award as ‘officer of the month’ as well as another award for exceptional bravery and heroism in his work. This year, he was promoted to the Head of Revenue and Customs Services, fulfilling the prophetic word that he would become a ‘king’ in his career. He advised people to always carry the Anointing Water with them in their activities and also encouraged leaders in various fields of life to involve God as they discharge their duties and responsibilities.

A BROKEN MARRIAGE RESTORED AFTER DELIVERANCE

Mrs Chinanu Nwali came to The SCOAN a few weeks ago with the problem of a spiritual husband. The spiritual husband used to appear to her physically and in her dreams, instructing her to kill her husband. The spiritual husband also gave her the spirit of anger which caused her to quarrel with her husband all the time and she eventually moved out of the house with her four children. She came to The SCOAN a few weeks ago and received her deliverance through the prayer of one of the wise men. Mrs Nwali said that after her deliverance, she has reconciled with her husband and has moved back to the house. She said that she now has love and respect for her husband and they are happily living together. She said that she no longer sees the spiritual husband in her dreams and there is peace in her marriage. Mr Nwali confirmed what his wife said and added that their marriage is now ‘sweeter’ than before. The Nwalis advised that what man could not do, God had done in their lives. PASTOR DELIVERED FROM DIABOLICAL PAST OF WITCHCRAFT

Rev Martins Ugo, a Nigerian residing in Ghana shared his testimony of how God had delivered him from his past that had haunted him. He said that the problem that brought him to The SCOAN was setback and instability in ministry. He explained how his grandfather was one of the greatest witchdoctors of his time before he died, renowned for his extraordinary occultic powers. When his mother was pregnant with him, a witchdoctor met his mother and explained to her that his late grandfather had met him and instructed him to tell her that the baby in her womb would be his late grandfather coming back and therefore, the child should to be initiated and trained to become a great witchdoctor. As he grew up, he was taught everything about the idols his grandfather worshipped and how to perform the diabolical acts of a witchdoctor such as preparing charms for people. He also joined many secret societies and wanted to become an even greater witchdoctor than his late grandfather. He served under more than seven witchdoctors – each depositing more evil powers in his life.

However, he was in an occult temple one day when he had a vision and saw a Man instructing him to repent and change his life. When he asked the Man who He was, He answered, “I am the Saviour of your soul, the King of kings and the Lord of lords”. After that encounter, his life changed and he eventually stopped practicing as a witchdoctor. He gave his life to Jesus Christ and was given an instruction to fast. He went to Bible school, became a pastor and started establishing church branches. Although he had surrendered his life to Christ and was a pastor, he continued to receive serious evil attacks in his dreams from the evil forces from his past life of being a witchdoctor. He realized that despite the fact that he had accepted Jesus Christ and stopped being a witchdoctor, he needed to be delivered from his past and started to go to different pastors in search of deliverance, without success.

He was introduced to Emmanuel TV by a friend and started watching it. He then had another dream and saw Prophet T.B. Joshua praying for him. Later, he had a vision and saw himself digging up all the idols he once worshipped. After digging up the idols, he sprayed Anointing Water on them and as he sprayed the idols with the Anointing Water in his dream, they all caught fire and was consumed. He said that during his deliverance, he saw an angel pulling off black clothes from him and putting white clothes on him. ASTRAL TRAVELLING ARMED ROBBER!

Mr Henry Osigbemue shared his testimony of how he was once a notorious armed robber and used to astral travel to survey the areas he wanted to rob physically. He was initiated into a secret cult when he was at school and soon became a notorious armed robber, stealing cars on the highways, breaking into shops and even robbing five churches. He was the leader of a gang of boys, all involved in armed robbery. In a search for more power to commit crime, he went to the internet and saw a website about astral travelling. On the website was an advertisement to order a package from a woman in France, to teach people to astral travel. He ordered the package and when he received and opened it, he saw a black cloth, mirror and a magnetic picture in it with instructions on how to use the items to astral travel. The woman who had sent the mystical items to him from France physically appeared to him in his room and performed an occult ceremony of initiation on him to enable him to start practicing it.

He explained that while he was astral travelling, if someone tried to wake him or move his body, his spirit would not be able to enter his body again and if his spirit was not able to enter his body within 21 days, he would die. He used these diabolical powers to steal as he would spiritually survey the areas he wanted to rob before physically going there the following day to do so. One day, he visited a friend and saw the Anointing Water in his friend’s room. He asked his friend what it was and his friend showed him Emmanuel TV and ministered the Anointing Water to him. He slept off and had a dream and saw Prophet T.B. Joshua telling him to repent and then invited him to come to The SCOAN for his deliverance. When he came to The SCOAN, one of the wise men prayed for him and he received his deliverance in Jesus’ name. After his deliverance, he said that he is a completely changed person and no longer experiences evil attacks or has the desire to rob or astral travel.

Mr Oni Sky, a Nigerian living in Libya was brought up in a polygamous house; his father was a powerful witchdoctor who married approximately 30 wives and had over 60 children. As a young child growing up, he worked with his father in the shrine and his father trained him as a witchdoctor. Prior to watching Emmanuel TV, he never believed anyone could deliver him and felt churches were also involved in duping people and the activities happening there were not real. After watching Emmanuel TV and listening to the messages from Prophet T.B. Joshua, he decided to come to The SCOAN. During his deliverance, he saw fire around the wise man erupting like a volcano and was unable to come close to him. Ever since his deliverance, he testified that he no longer smokes, drinks or takes drugs. He no longer has any urge to kill, steal and destroy people through armed robbery or initiate people into his cult. He said that he has even been calling people in all the countries he operated to come for their deliverance. His advice was that people should turn from worshipping idols and give their lives to God. He advised the youth involved in secret cults to drop their weapons and turn to Jesus.

A SPECIALIST IN SEDUCING ‘PASTORS’:

Miss Florence Peters came to The SCOAN and received a mighty deliverance from an evil spirit that had sent her on an assignment to destroy men. Coming forward to share her confession, she explained that she had been possessed by a marine spirit right from birth. She was given the name, ‘Eze Nwanyi’ meaning ‘Queen of the coast’. When she was young, her mother took her around various spiritualists and churches in search of deliverance who then took her to a river for a ‘spiritual cleansing’. However, since she knew the spirit within her came from the water, the deliverance she went for served only to increase the powers she was given in the marine world. The assignment she was given in the marine kingdom was to seduce and destroy men, most especially those who claimed to be pastors and preached against the kingdom of darkness with pride.

In the middle of the church service, she would enter and immediately attract the attention of the pastor by using the power in her eyes and wearing revealing clothing.  After the service, she would request for prayer from the pastor, in order to have a one-on-one encounter with him. When she entered the office of the pastor, she would pretend to request for deliverance and while the pastor was counseling her, she would look directly into his eyes as a form of seduction. Thereafter, instead of delivering her, she would go ahead to sleep with them and thereafter, their ministries would be under the influence and control of the demonic kingdom of darkness. She explained that she specifically was sent to attack pastors because the kingdom of darkness thirsted for souls and bringing down a pastor would bring more souls into that kingdom.

She said after her deliverance, she slept peacefully for the first time in her life, no more tormented by dreams of snakes, fishes and a strange man sleeping with her. She advised parents to be extremely careful about the names they give to their children, stating that the genesis of her problem was the name she was given. She further advised people to abstain completely from visiting witchdoctors and spiritualists as it will only compound their problems. Her advice to pastors was to be watchful of those who come pretending to ask for prayer, saying, ‘All that glitters is not gold.’

THOUSANDS OF DESTINIES TIED ON AN ANCIENT TREE FREED

Mr Adogah from Ghana received a prophecy a few weeks ago and the man of God prophesied that he saw a lot of birds where he lived and that there was a tree at the entrance of his compound where many people’s destinies were tied. A video was replayed of a how the Emmanuel TV Team travelled to Mr Adogah’s house in Ghana and indeed when the Emmanuel TV Team arrived at his house in Ghana, birds were all over the premises. On the video, Mr Adogah explained and showed the herbs in his garden which he used to make charms and also showed where his temple was. Mr Adogah took the Emmanuel TV Team inside his consultation room and sprayed the Anointing Water all over the room and also on the various books and spiritual items he once used to perform his diabolical acts as a spiritualist and herbalist. Different spiritual paintings covered the walls of the room but the main feature was the table, on which different coloured candles and a large variety of spiritual and magical books were arranged. He also showed the Emmanuel TV team the spiritual clothing he used.

The Emmanuel TV team also travelled with Mr Adogah to Togo where he showed them the tree that the man of God had prophesied about. A close inspection of the massive tree showed that it was hollow inside containing different items such as hair, bottles, children’s footwear etc. Approaching the tree, Mr Adogah sprayed the Anointing Water on it, in Jesus’ name and proceeded to explain how thousands of destinies had been tied there by witchcraft through the decades of its existence. Mr Adogah brought the items and a pigeon he used as a witchdoctor to The SCOAN and explained the use of each item including the spiritual and magical books he used. He explained that he would use pigeons to carry a wide variety of his charms, medicines and other items to people anywhere in the world after casting a spell on the bird. Mr Adogah thanked God for his deliverance and said that he is completely free from his past life of witchcraft.

FACEBOOK FRAUDSTERS EXPOSED!!!

Mrs Martha Nzwile from Namibia, accompanied by her husband, Christopher Nwile, her nephew, Morgan and friend came to The SCOAN with a horrific story of fraud. The problem that brought them to The SCOAN was various kinds of sickness. She was involved in a serious accident in her country which resulted in a spinal cord injury. She was forced to use a neck collar and lumbar corset for over four years and lived literally in constant pain and distress. After watching Emmanuel TV, she desperately attempted to contact The SCOAN, but didn’t receive an instant reply. While lying in pain in hospital, she was told of a testimony of someone healed of colon cancer miraculously through praying along with Prophet T.B. Joshua via Facebook. Although she had never used Facebook before, she decided to log on and search for TB Joshua Ministries on Facebook. However, she naively opened a fraudulent account of someone who claimed be T.B. Joshua. Unknown to her, the person she began talking to was actually a fraudster, deceptively using the name of T.B. Joshua and Emmanuel TV to defraud people who were desperate to come to The SCOAN.

After establishing contact with the fraudster, she was told that she would be invited to The SCOAN, picked up at the airport and all accommodation would be prearranged. She was told to bring almost $800 as an advance fee. She was initially skeptical and requested to see proof that the person she was corresponding with indeed represented The SCOAN. The fraudster claimed to be the account officer of The SCOAN, terming himself, ‘Joshua Emmanuel’ and going further to provide a phone number with which she could contact him. The fraudster in question sent her a fake invitation letter, using a crafted letterhead with The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV logos. Deceived by the amount of details provided, she actually paid the money into the account provided, totaling over $3,000. Innocently believing that she and her family would be met by The SCOAN at the airport, they went ahead to travel to Lagos. Upon arriving and meeting the official SCOAN protocol, they were shocked to learn that the person they had been dealing with was a fraudster and the letter of invitation completely fake.

Remember, better is not good enough; the best is yet to come.

Life is a warfare. In a warfare, there are many battles to fight. When you look at people today, you will see that some are battling with their bills, some with their sickness, while some are fighting to make it in life. It takes the grace of God to realize that the way you fight these battles determines who you are before God. Just as there are two sides to a coin, so also there are two sources in this world: God and satan. Whether you believe it or not, there is no neutral source because there is no neutral kingdom. You can become great in life, in terms of position, money and fame, but the source of your greatness will be either from God or satan. Genesis 14:14-16,21-23. This is all about Father Abraham and his determination to make God Almighty his only source.
To be great born of God is to derive your resources from God, while to be great born of satan is to derive your resources from satan.
When God is the source of your strength, no one can be against you. When God is the source of your strength, you and God are majority. Abram, with the help of God, was able to defeat his enemies and recover all the goods and set the captives free.

One thing we need to remember is that Satan’s greatest interest is to overthrow our relationship to God as a Father. To do that, satan always uses our situation. This is why we should not be misled by our situation. Our situation could be poverty or sickness. Outward affliction and poverty are the great arguments satan uses to disturb the children of God. Therefore, as children of God, it is better to live poorly on the fruits of God’s goodness than to live plentifully upon the products of our own sin. Remember that everything big starts little. If anything big starts big, it calls for concern. Those who fail to take these tiny steps cannot trust God and understand the basic truth about faith.

CHRONIC CASE OF BEDWETTING HEALED
Mr Awallu Gaboh, a muslim had the problem of bedwetting and frequent urination for twenty years. It all started when a spirit being possessed him, which came and made love to him. Mr Abu Abdulazeez from Benue State had been childless for many years after marriage. The medical report stated their diagnosis of bacterial infection but his wife often told him that a certain spiritual man used to sleep with her and make love to her in the dream. Mr. Abdulazeez who is a military personnel, had the problem of addiction to alcohol for thirty-one years and could drink more than three cartons of beer in a single day and to worsen his situation, he always spent time in the company of his colleagues who were also habitual drinkers. One fateful day, he visited a friend and joined them in watching Emmanuel TV. He was astonished to see cases of drunkenness being delivered through the prayer of the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. He joined in the prayer by placing his hand on the screen of the television. He invited his wife to place her hand on the television and she did. As soon as she placed her hand, she fell down and started manifesting. Soon after, his wife conceived. For himself, he tried to visit his former beer parlour where he ordered for a bottle of beer but it tasted of bitters and he had to spit it out. Since then, his addiction of 31 years stopped. Today, the wife is pregnant. Mr Abdulazeez does not visit beer parlours anymore and they now enjoy a very peaceful home.
YOUNG MAN DELIVERED FROM DEMONIC KINGDOM AND DISCONNECTED FROM SECRET CULTS
Mr Innocent Oluchi Chidozie Ochia – Imo State, Nigeria was an active member of some number of secret cults for many years. He is a graduate of Federal Polytechnic, Nekede in Imo State. He was an ardent church goer and a choir boy until one of his relations introduced him to various brands of drugs. They were into the music industry and those drugs were supposed to make him feel good and bold while on stage. Ironically, the influence of those drugs erased every passion for the things of God and he developed apathy to Christian music. He could consume large doses of those drugs every day and had to spend much of his pocket money in acquiring them. On one occasion, he had concealed himself behind the counter of a bar, smoking his weed and playing music very loud. Three beings appeared to him right there and one of them said that it could pick up his thoughts. He did not believe the being, and spoke in silence to test him. The beings responded correspondingly to prove that they could actually read his mind. They told him that they could discern that he wanted to be famous and that they could help him get to the top of his career. He asked to be helped. One of the beings stripped off and to his surprise, he saw that it was tattooed from the neck to the groin region. They started an initiation process and were making noises as if in a sex orgy. He could not stand the sight any longer and decided to walk away. He was threatened with premature death in four days if he walked out on them. He, however, tried to submit to the initiation. Back at the Polytechnic, his life took a different form. He could hear voices and interpret lyrics that he never was part of their making. He became fearless. He had no money but could get just whatever he wanted so long as he was dressed in a peculiar spiritual fashion that those beings had recommended. When he sang on stage and off-stage, he could hold people in trance and those who were unable to stand the situation had to run away. The drug addiction got so bad that he had to be sent to rehab. His academic career started diminishing. He never prayed and refused to pay his tithes any longer. He preferred to do his chores on the Sabbath day instead. He hated the things of God. Incidentally, he was invited to The SCOAN to witness the testimony of one of his aunts who had been delivered from demonic influence. He felt very uncomfortable in the church and would rather have some cigarettes and alcohol. During prayer by Wise man Daniel, he was arrested and felt the separation from the spiritual beings that had tormented him. The pain he felt on his leg also disappeared after he was touched and prayed for by the wise man. He advises the youths in particular that if they would make Heaven, they should avoid worldly affections such as smoking, doing drugs, drinking and lustfulness – telling them that Jesus Christ was not a womanizer or a drug addict.

SON OF A POPULAR NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS AND MUSICIAN DELIVERED FROM DEMONIC KINGDOM
Mr Samuel Freedom is the son of Camilla, a renowned Nollywood actress. He said he came to The SCOAN after his mother had been delivered of evil attacks and connection to the marine kingdom. He says that in a prophecy given to her by Prophet T.B. Joshua, his mother was asked where her son was. She responded that he was in Enugu and the man of God said he should be brought to The SCOAN. Previously, he had been practicing house to house evangelism and praying for the sick with signs following, though he had never been delivered himself. He confessed that during that period, he had an affair with a lady from the same church where he worshipped. Thereafter, his spiritual life took a downward turn. He experienced some career failure and stagnation. Nothing was working for him; he became depressed and often heard a voice telling him to commit suicide. He began looking for alternatives; he started listening to worldly music and doing street dance. He formed a dance group and they wanted to create new moves. They researched online and found different demonic signs which they formulated into dance moves. He would have dreams where demons would teach him dance steps. He would then in turn teach others how to dance in that way. He wanted to get money; so, he searched on the internet and found the Illuminati website; he read everything on the website and saw the face of the master of the Illuminati. His first experience was an encounter with the master in a dream. The master appeared in the form of a serpent and then later transformed into a human being, giving him instructions. Thereafter, he started using some of those signs that represented Illuminati in dance steps on stage, but participants never got to know that those dance steps were glorifying demons and initiating them into the kingdom of darkness. The more the people adopted the dance steps, the more they were tormented by demons. He had a shirt with the Illuminati insignia, which he usually wore especially on stage. He had a computer game known as Prince of Persia which he always played during the day. At night, he would see himself as the character from the video game, the Prince of Persia, flying, fighting and doing everything the character in the game was doing. He was in the habit of masturbating even though he detested the act and would regret it later.
He eventually came to The SCOAN and was delivered after prayer from Wise Man Christopher. He no longer has the urge to masturbate, smoke or drink. He advised parents to keep objects of bad moral influence away from their children. He advised youth not to download worldly music on their phones. His advice to pastors was to run to God for mercy for He is a merciful God.
A NIGHTCLUB DEEJAY IS NOT WHAT I WAS CALLED TO BE
Pastor Philip Onyekachukwu of Prince of Peace Ministries International and brother of Ms Camilla, the popular Nollywood actress, said he had received a call of God and then when his finances were down, he backslid to become a nightclub Deejay. He said he was not properly taught how to maintain his walk with the Lord. He could not pay his school fees and had to abandon the ministry. He had a dream where two women put their hands inside his chest after
which he became sick. He went from one place to another in search of a solution to his sickness which doctors were unable to diagnose. Later, he returned to being a pastor, though he acknowledged that he did so without being delivered. Consequently, he experienced setback in his ministry. He said that the church would grow and then later scatter. He would also hear voices rebuking him, telling him he was never going to make it and that the church was going down. He came to The SCOAN where he was prayed for by one of the wise men and received his deliverance. He said after his deliverance, he no longer heard negative voices and also the pain he had in his body was gone.
NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS WENT THROUGH THOROUGH SCREENING
Mrs Camilla, a Senior Nollywood Actress for 29 years said she didn’t have a hand in how, where and when she was born. She decided who she wanted to be when she came to The SCOAN. Many of her colleagues had discouraged her from coming to The SCOAN. She said, “Many of them are scared of coming to be screened by the Holy Ghost”. According to the actress, she was delivered at The SCOAN and also received a prophecy concerning her son. She brought him to The SCOAN together with her brother (Pastor Philip Onyekachukwu) for deliverance. She said she came for God to change her spiritual occasion from sin to holiness and she got it. THE TRUTH ABOUT TATTOOS REVEALED
John Bosco from Cameroon gave a testimony of how he had a tooth problem and a woman had advised him to apply snuff tobacco as a solution to the problem. The effect of the tobacco made him feel high in spirit. He became addicted to it and eventually became very sick and lost a lot of weight. He was diagnosed with tuberculosis and gastric ulcer and reached rock bottom in life. One night, he had a dream whereby he saw the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua in his dream who prayed for him. Soon after the dream, he had a full recovery from his sicknesses and was restored back to his original self. To add to his blessing, he was also offered a good job from an offshore company with good pay and his life experienced a dramatic turnaround for the better. He was so overjoyed at the healing and blessing he received that he asked himself what he could do to

say, “Thank you”. He then called a tattoo artist and asked him to design a tattoo for him written, “Jesus Is Lord, T.B. Joshua My Prophet”. He had the tattoo inscribed across his shoulder. As he developed interest in studying the Scriptures, he came to a portion in the Book of Leviticus 19:28, which spoke against the act of putting marks of any sort on the body and immediately regretted doing the tattoo. He was so disturbed in his mind that he sent an email to the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua asking what he could do. The prophet then invited him to The SCOAN.
After sharing his experience, the man of God addressed the issue. “Just see it as one of those things on your body, not for God. If you see it like that, press forwards to serve God in Spirit and in truth. Don’t see it as a way of pleasing God. Don’t let it disturb you anymore. Put it behind you. Since you can’t remove it, leave it and continue to serve God.”
Prophet T.B. Joshua further said, “Faith is of man’s spirit, not of his flesh or body”. He advised the man that he should see the tattoo as something for his body and not for God. He said now that he had realized it was wrong, he should put it behind him and seek God. He said the tattoo had no meaning to God and is not to please God. He also advised Christians who already had tattoos and wanted to remove them, not to have them surgically removed as this was a trap of satan, which could lead to other skin complications. He concluded by saying that when we worship God in Spirit and truth, whatever we have put on our body is nullified.
MODIFY YOUR CULTURE TO SUIT CHRIST’S IDEOLOGY
Deacon Daniel Emoghawei came to The SCOAN and received a prophecy. Prophet T.B. Joshua asked him about his wife and had spoken concerning the conflict at home and the spirit of anger. Today, Deacon Daniel Emoghawei came back together with his wife to confirm the prophecy. He explained that the cause of most conflicts in the house was regarding his wife’s clothing and makeup. As a deacon, he didn’t like to see his wife with revealing clothes and heavy makeup. He further told the prophet that even on their wedding day, they had fought concerning the same matter. Apart from that, according to the husband, the wife had the spirit of anger that caused her to argue and get angry unnecessarily. His wife also spoke, complaining that they would always quarrel and never agree on anything in the house. She further said that her husband would beat her and this had heightened the tension in the marriage.
Listening to their story, Prophet T.B. Joshua expressed his belief from God’s point of view that God is Spirit and that those who want to worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and truth. Therefore, for God to hear, help or answer us, we must talk to Him in Spirit but the problem people have is that many have not been dealing with God in Spirit but in the natural.
Prophet T.B. Joshua explained that there was nothing wrong in putting on makeup but that our ideology and culture must be modified to suit Christ’s ideology. He added that if someone has the spirit of lust, whether he or she applies makeup or not does not make any difference because it is a spiritual matter and can only be resolved through being delivered.
He asked them what their position was concerning the marriage. They both said that they still loved each other as husband and wife but just wanted the conflict in their marriage to stop. Prophet T.B. Joshua encouraged the couple that there could be no understanding without misunderstanding. He said that if you ask any successful couple today about their experiences, they would tell you that they passed through the shadow of death before they arrived at a successful marriage. T.B. Joshua concluded by advising, “There is a time to fight and there is a time to embrace each other. No matter what happens, God has something to say, even in a broken situation. Therefore, we should always ask for God’s opinion concerning all things”.
The new brand of Anointing Water was officially launched. People were falling under the anointing of God upon receiving the new Anointing Water and Stickers. Inspired by the Spirit of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave out The New Anointing Water and Stickers for free to the congregation both inside and outside the auditorium as his 50th Birthday gift and in dedication to the blessed memory of his mother on the occasion of this year’s Mothers Day celebration.
The man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua gave the grace for the congregation to receive the rebranded Anointing Water and Stickers for the first time after their official launch today. Excitement and shouts of joy rented the atmosphere as the long-awaited release was announced by the prophet. As soon as the Anointing Water and Stickers were given out freely to the congregation, people began to shake, roll on the floor and vomit out dangerous substances that had been lodged in their system, under the power of God. They hadn’t even opened the packaging before Jesus Christ began to work in their situation. Mrs Towoju from Kwara State, Nigeria was among many who after merely receiving the New Anointing Water and Sticker received a miracle. She came out to testify that God healed her of a stroke after merely collecting a bottle of the Anointing Water along with the Anointing Sticker. Glory be to God!
Ifeoma had suffered serious headaches but immediately the Anointing Water and Sticker were given to her, just by merely touching the packaging, caused her to fall under the anointing of God and receive her healing. Upon getting up from the floor, she realized that God had performed the miracle. No more headaches!

The 50^th Birthday Anniversary celebration of Prophet T.B. Joshua has come and gone but the euphoria still lingers in the atmosphere. In line with his advice that the spirit of the celebration should be made manifest in a life devoted to prayer for the Church of God for a strong bond of love and rededicating ourselves to the acts of giving for the rest of our lives; the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua emerged on the podium looking apparently renewed. The congregation was no less renewed as was evident from the number of people that lined up to share extraordinary testimonies.   

In his brief message, Prophet T.B. Joshua reiterated his resolve to encourage job creation by entrepreneurs and organizations all over the world. In response to the numerous responses already received from across the globe, he said, we don’t need to ask whether a candidate belonged to this or that church. What matters is that they are human beings. If God give you job and you take God’s job, you must accept God and a sense of judgment will be the result; you will think right and judge right. You will have a desire to know what happens after this life is over. You will think about that if God gives you a job. The job offers will reduce crime and what is happening to the youth all over the world.

South African Gospel Singer Deborah Fraser was guest at The SCOAN Sunday Service where she performed two of her heart-rending hit-track songs to the high-spirited congregation who sang along and danced praising God.

Because of want of space, we are constrained to bring to you only a few of the testimonies of healing, deliverance and breakthroughs resulting from the use of the New Anointing Water, Anointing Sticker and praying with the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV.

GOD QUALIFIES THE UNQUALIFIED

Mrs Mariana Parkhotyuk from the USA, was without a job until she visited The SCOAN during Prophet T.B. Joshua’s 49th birthday. She did not have the requisite qualifications for the job she had her eyes on. She was privileged to meet with the man of God who gave her the Anointing Water. When she returned to the USA she prayed and ministered the Anointing Water on herself and to her credentials and said to God, “God qualifies the unqualified”.  After her prayers, she applied for a job as a Clinical Specialist and was given the job.  The organization also sent her for on-the-job training which resulted in rapid promotion and new placement in her career. She not only has a bigger salary than she had ever received; she also got the chance to further her education through the job she was blessed with. She believes strongly that God used the medium of the Anointing Water to bring about more blessing and favour in her life.

SCHOLARSHIP GRANTED OUT OF NOWHERE

Mr Bryson Still from Washington, USA, started a degree course in Education but was unable to get the finances to further his education. He had made several efforts towards raising the necessary funds but was unsuccessful. He was privileged to receive the Anointing Water and anointed himself with prayer believing for a breakthrough in the name of Jesus Christ. Shortly after, he received a call from the President of his college whom he never knew, offering him a scholarship to the tune of US $50,000 which covered his tuition and all other expenses. He now has a hope for a bright academic future to the glory of God.

HOPELESSNESS TURNED TO HAPPINESS

Lesego Mabote from Botswana, told her moving story of how in her place of work, she had been painfully waiting for promotion for more than 10 years. In spite of her strong attachment to her job and the zeal to do her best, she was disappointingly demoted whereas her colleagues were being promoted.

This unusual trend of administrative injustice caused her depression and she gave up hope of ever being able to move upward in her career.

She resigned herself to working only for money for food and utilities and not expecting a better and brighter career future.

In search of solution to her problem she went to prayer houses but nothing positive came out of her being prayed for.

Coming from a background of idol worshipping family, she was obliged to go back home to find out what the matter was. She was told by spiritualists that if she did not keep up the practices of her forbears she would not expect any success or breakthrough in her career. This revelation blackened her horizon and she believed there was not a single chance of her coming out of her predicament.

As she however watched Emmanuel TV and saw the wonderful testimonies given by people who had similar situation as hers, she decided to come to The SCOAN and was privileged to receive the Anointing Water.

When she got home, she began to minister the Anointing Water every day in the name of Jesus, believing that her help could only come from the Almighty. She also prayed that God should rewrite her history of being bound to family tradition. The Son of God declared her free and she is free indeed.

Not long after, out of the blue, she received a call from her manager that she was due to be promoted to Supervisor of the office.

She is now proud to be occupying the position of a Supervisor in her office. Her depression and despair have been turned into joy.

DRY BONES SHALL RISE AGAIN!

Mrs Navone from Tanzania was not able to walk and was bound to a wheelchair for a long time. She arrived at The SCOAN on a wheelchair. She had to depend on her children to do everything for her and that situation of helplessness affected her psychologically and caused her serious depression. She had to stop going to work and would sit at home all day, desperate for relief.

She went to many hospitals and traditional healers but no solution could be found. As she watched Emmanuel TV and saw many testimonies of people with even greater problems than her own she received renewed hope. The faith that her own miracle was possible made her ask to be brought to The SCOAN even if it meant coming on a stretcher.

When she arrived at The SCOAN, she was seated at the canopy section within the overflow congregation. According to her, she was surprised as she saw her daughter crying for the man of God to help her, that her mother was sick. The man of God sent for her and people came and quickly wheeled her inside the church.

The man of God, T.B. Joshua prayed for her, touched her and asked her to rise up, in Jesus’ name. Immediately, she got up and started walking without any pain. She can now carry out all her domestic chores without assistance from anyone!

Her daughter, Mary Mboya, also testified to the extraordinary healing which had taken place in the life of her mother. She explained how the constant care and attention the condition of her mother demanded, had become a burden to her. The journey from Tanzania to The SCOAN was not easy for them as they had to pass through several countries and the transfer from one aircraft or vehicle to another was tiring for both of them. Her mother would cry all night due to the pain in her legs.

Now, after the prayer, she sleeps peacefully. She no longer has to use a wheelchair and walks freely without any pain.

Their advice to the viewers and congregation was simple: Believe that Jesus Christ is the Healer and great Physician in this world.

After the testimony, Mrs Navone danced before the Lord with overflowing thankfulness in her heart. She was warmly embraced and

congratulated by the numerous attendees from all over the world who danced with her inside the church.

True Christianity lies in the heart! This was the heart of the message the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, dwelled on when he ministered to the masses that congregated at The SCOAN in Lagos, Nigeria and viewers of Emmanuel TV, last Sunday. Prophet T.B. Joshua came out early on Sunday to open the service with a thought-provoking message.  Drawing his message from the book of James 1: 1-5,22 and Psalms 66:18, the man of God said that unless Christians begin to act, live and do the Word, they are deceiving themselves. Prophet T.B. Joshua’s message was titled: The Futility Of Self-Effort. He said that those who are inwardly pure show themselves to be under the power of pure and without the Holy Spirit destroying the root of sin in us, we are bound to be tormented by the desire to return to our bad habits. We must lift up to God not only clean hands but a pure heart.

“We are made in our heart to be like Jesus. On the last day, we will be judged not by the colour of our skin, but by the content of our character. True Christianity lies in the heart. It lies in the purity of the heart. The mind is renewed by studying the Word and by acting upon it. One may read or study the Bible for years, if he or she does not act it, live it, is not a doer, the mind is not renewed. The mind is renewed by studying the Word and by acting upon it. Christ and the Word are one. Meditation in the Word is a visit to Him. The Word becomes a part of us by meditation,” he said.

Zeroing in on the day’s message, he said the problem with Christians today is that they use self-effort to stop their bad habits. As a result, said the man of God, their proclamations as Christians or being born again, are in vain because they continue to suffer urges of the bad habits they confess to have stopped.

“God’s effort is grace. When you stop your bad habit with self-effort, you cannot stop the urge, but God’s effort can. Many become Christians, born-again, pastors, bishops, prophets with self-effort. Self-effort leaves us with urge. That, which comes out of the heart, defiles the mind. Self-effort is a wrong attitude toward sin. Without the Holy Spirit destroying the root of sin in us, we are bound to be tormented by our desire to return to our bad habits. The challenge many Christians, believers, pastors and the rest are facing, is the problem of urge behind closed doors – urge to continue many bad habits,” he said.

After the message, the congregation listened to the case of a family who had been prophesied to the previous week by Prophet T.B. Joshua. Below is a summary of their intriguing story.

CONSULTATION WITH A SPIRITUAL MIRROR

Mr Alfred Etugbo from Delta State, Nigeria came out in response to a prophecy he had received the previous week from Prophet T.B. Joshua. The man of God had asked him about his wife and told him to bring her and his family.

He said that he was facing extreme setback in his business and challenges in his marriage. A friend then took him to a spiritualist who introduced him to a spiritual mirror. He was told that the mirror would show him the cause of his problems. The friend had lost his goods and they went to the mirror to find out where they were and what had happened. As a result of looking at the mirror, his friend went mental and it was only after the spiritualist did some incantations that he seemed to regain himself.

Mr Alfred was curious and decided to go back to the spiritual mirror and ask why his friend had become mad. He would ask a question to the mirror in his mind and then the mirror would answer by showing him images. The mirror showed him that his friend was the one who took his own goods and that the whole event was a ploy. He became infatuated with the spiritual mirror and kept on going there for consultation.

He had to drink a concoction and pay money before he could look at the spiritual mirror each time. He then decided to ask the spiritual mirror what happened to his car as his car had gone missing. The spiritual mirror revealed that it was his close relations that were involved in stealing the car. The spiritual mirror also showed him how his wife, sister and others were the cause of his problems. This led him to accuse his wife, his sister and a girl staying with them in the house to be involved in witchcraft.

The spiritual mirror even showed him how his sister had stolen his blessings by carrying his daughter and bringing her to him to kiss him. When he asked the mirror why he was experiencing delay in his job, the mirror revealed that his sister was the cause.

The conviction that he had concerning his wife and sister led him to behave strangely towards them in the house such as going on his knees and begging them to release him from his bondage. This he did under the instruction of the spiritual mirror. The spiritual mirror would reveal to him everything he needed to do.

He realised though that although the mirror would show him the problem, it would never provide a solution for him. That led him to look for a solution in various places. He found out about Emmanuel TV and eventually came to The SCOAN.

Prophet T.B. Joshua addressed the matter saying that the spiritual mirror was telling nothing but falsehood and that his wife, sister and the girl were not involved in witchcraft and were not the cause of his problems. He said that the whole family needed deliverance and that forgiveness comes with deliverance. He further stated that there was depression in the house but everything would be over after their deliverance.

Mrs Stella Etugbo told a little of her side of the story. She said that she had never believed in the spiritual mirror. She had bought cars for her husband and had been financially supporting the family since she met him. There was nothing that she did not do for him. She was surprised that at the end of the day, he called her a witch.

Prophet T.B. Joshua corrected her saying that it was not her husband who was calling her a witch but satan and that the whole blame should be placed on satan.

The man of God then prophesied to the congregation and declared people free from their various afflictions in the name of Jesus Christ after which he ministered mass prayer. This was followed by the Prayer Line and Testimonies galore which glorified God; a few of which are below: 

EMMANUEL TV PARTNER REAPS GOD’S FAVOURS!

When Dr Akhiwu Benjamin, an Oral Maxillofacial Surgeon, and his wife Helen, a Pediatric doctor, decided to become partners of Emmanuel TV five years ago, it was simply to support God’s projects. Little did they know that they were actually sowing a seed whose fruit would amaze and shock even the most hard-core believers.

They came to testify to the goodness of God in their lives saying, since they joined as Emmanuel TV Partners, they have enjoyed abundant blessings both spiritually and physically. Dr Benjamin said being an Emmanuel TV Partner has given him an atmosphere of peace, protection, contentment and living in abundance.

He said that as a result, his family has found itself under the cover of God where all their needs and protection are guaranteed. He said his career and that of his wife, have enjoyed growth while the performance of their children at school has been astronomical.

Dr Benjamin, who lives in Kano, gave one of his many experiences where God has saved his life from imminent death. One day, he said, he had travelled to another state. On his way back, as he drove his Jeep in a convoy of other private cars, he saw masked men appear from the roadside bushes brandishing guns. They started shooting at all vehicles. While bullet-holes appeared on other cars, none appeared to have hit his vehicle and yet, the armed men were shooting directly at him from a short distance. He had anointed his car with the Anointing Water that morning and it had a shield of five Anointing Stickers all over it!

He said that the Anointing Water was also in the car and that at the time of the attack, he was listening to a sermon from Prophet T.B. Joshua titled: Leave It For God. A force from nowhere forced him out of the car and told him to run away. As he ran from the car, the gunmen kept firing after him but, incredibly, none of the bullets hit him. As he entered the bush, he ran into a beehive but it was as if the bees were confused and could not sting him.

 “It was as if I was in a bottle. Instead of attacking me, the bees were fleeing away,” said Dr Benjamin. After two hours, he came out of the bush and found the police guarding his car, having ambushed the armed robbers. The other people that were left on the road had been injured and the other vehicles were damaged. The police were astounded that not a single bullet had hit his car and that he was safe and sound. They asked which native doctor he had visited to receive such protection. He stuck his hand into his pocket and showed them the Anointing Sticker and Anointing Water. He told them that it was the power of God working through the Anointing Stickers and Anointing Water that had miraculously saved his life!

“I thank God for this opportunity to be a member of this ministry and to be a partner of Emmanuel TV,” he said.

NOW ALCOHOL’S ENEMY NO 1!

Satan will use any bad habit, however innocent it may look, to destroy you in more than one aspect of your life. This was Miss Busisiwe Mgqibi’s message when she came to testify at The SCOAN on Sunday.

The South African mother-of-two said the problem of drunkenness which pestered her for 15 years, affected her finances, career, marital life, had almost cost her life. Born in a family where consuming alcohol was ‘normal’, Miss Mgqibi was already taking hard alcohol at age 16 and, she said, it was as a result of partying that she dropped out from university after failing

her examinations due to lack of concentration.

“I had to find a job quickly to earn money for my drinking sprees. I liked expensive beer. As a result of clubbing, I could not settle and commit to one man. This led me into many different relationships which has left me with two children from different fathers,” she said.

Soon, she discovered she could no longer finance her drinking and she started to take loans from individuals and institutions to sustain her sprees. Meanwhile, she had no time for her children and she would sleep out over weekends. She tried to stop but couldn’t. One day, her landlord threatened to throw her out due to non-payment of rentals. She visited a friend from whom she frequently borrowed money. Instead of giving her cash, she gave her a small bottle half-full with clear water.

“She told me it was Anointing Water from The SCOAN and that she was giving it to me as a gift to solve my problems,” she said.

She prayed and ministered it in Jesus’ name, asking God to break the terrible addiction to alcohol in her life.

“I have forgotten to drink alcohol for the past nine months. I now have peace and joy. I am able to provide for my children and I have a fiancé. I now hate beer,” she said.

Not only is she now free from the addiction to drinking alcohol but her menstruation that had been irregular for years also started flowing normally. Her advice was: “Commit yourself to God in prayer and faith and He will answer you. If you have Emmanuel TV, you are half-way there.”

DOUBLE BLESSING & BREAKTHROUGH

Mary Jane Moepeng from Botswana had been looking for admission to university for eight years since she finished school. She was not being accepted into any university she applied to, let alone being able to pay the required fees. When she came to The SCOAN, she met with Prophet T.B. Joshua. The moment she stepped into the man of God’s office, he told her that he saw that she wanted to go to school and gave her US$800 with the instruction to look for the best university in her country and use the money to pay for the registration fees.

He also gave her Anointing Water which she ministered on her admission documents and the documents she submitted to the government for scholarship. To her greatest surprise, she not only gained admission to one of the best universities in Botswana, she also received a scholarship from the government covering all her tuition fees. She explained that it was the first time the government had granted scholarships to people in her age-range; she was 26. She brought the admission letter and also her report with her results from her first year of studying Business Enterprises, showing that she received distinctions. Her testimony did not end there; she said that she and her husband had been trying to have a child for the past year. After returning from The SCOAN and ministering the Anointing Water in the name of Jesus Christ, they met as husband and wife and she got pregnant. The couple showed their baby boy named David to the glory of God!

GOD HEALED MY LEG ULCER – “EVERY PROBLEM HAS AN EXPIRY DATE”

Mrs Joy Kalu testified to her healing from a leg ulcer which was healed through the medium of the Anointing Water. She had severely suffered the affliction for five years during which her life turned upside down. She could not go to work or take good care of her children. She would spend the whole day at home, hopeless. Her husband was also very stressed as he had to take care of her. She came to The SCOAN and received the Anointing Water. She ministered it on her leg and also gave it to her nurse to minister it on her. Before she knew it, her leg started to dry up and new flesh started forming. Within no time, the fresh skin had covered where the ghastly wound once was.

“I am happy, overjoyed and excited! There is no longer any pain; I can do everything now!” She said and showed for all to see, the scarred area where the ulcer once was. Her advice was simple: “Believe the words of God’s prophets and you will be blessed and healed; every problem you have has an expiry date!”

GOD’S GIFT OF HEALING

Mrs James from Akwa-Ibom, Nigeria and her daughter, Godsgift came to testify to her healing from a chronic obstructive pulmonary disease she suffered for 15 years. Godsgift had been suffering from this sickness since birth. She had asthma attacks all the time. Mrs James would often be called from her office to collect her daughter from school due to the severity of the asthma attacks. Godsgift would come and ask, “Mummy, why is my case like this? Why am I not like everyone else?” They took her to teaching hospitals and private hospitals but the only help the doctors could render was for her to use a nebulizer (breathing machine).

She watched Emmanuel TV and her faith was lifted up. That prompted her to bring Godsgift to The SCOAN where she received prayer from one of the wise men.

After the prayer, she can now breathe normally and even recently played football in a competition. She no longer needs to use the nebulizer. Her medical reports showing the doctor’s diagnosis before and after the healing were shown. Truly, the Great Physician, Jesus Christ is alive.

GOD DELIVERED ME THE WAY HE DID THE ISRAELITES

Mrs Tshepo Olefhile from Botswana was working hard but did not have anything to show for it. “I would work as an elephant but eat as an ant,” she said. At the end of the month, she would get very stressed as she never had enough money to pay her bills. She had a poultry farm but at the end of the month, things would always go wrong with the business. Things got so bad that she had to sell her car. She came to The SCOAN and received the Anointing Water, ministered it, in Jesus’ name and prayed saying, “Since You used Moses to deliver the Israelites from Egypt, you can use Prophet T.B. Joshua to set me free and bless me.” After ministering the Anointing Water, she received financial breakthrough, her business turned around and with the turnover, she was able to purchase a car. She showed the picture of her new car.

Mrs Olefhile shared a second testimony concerning her daughter. She had applied to universities in Botswana to study medicine but was rejected as she was not qualified. However, Mrs Olefhile prayed in faith, believing that God would do the impossible. It happened according to her faith and her daughter received admission from one of the best universities in China to study medicine. Although her tuition fee was US$10,000 she told her daughter not to worry, that God would help them raise the money in time. She was able to raise the money through the power of God in the Anointing Water. Her daughter will now be travelling to China to start her course in medicine.

The service on Sunday ended with the Mass Prayer conducted by the Wise Men. We at The SCOAN, thank God for His everlasting faithfulness and power. He continues to manifest through His anointed ministers of God!

Emmanuel! God With Us!

With the year 2014 still in its infancy days, and having been prophetically christened by Prophet T.B. Joshua as ‘The Year of Crossing the Bridge’, nothing could be more timely than a call for Christians to be in an attitude of prayer all the time. The Man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, quoted the book of Joshua 1:8; which teaches about keeping and speaking the Word of God.

The prophet gave three take-home points: Keeping the Word of God in one’s mouth, meditating day and night in the Word, and doing what the Word says.

Explained the Man of God: “If the heart and mouth are in one accord with God’s Word, you will begin to tap the blessings of God. If the Word dominates your heart, it will surely influence your conduct and behavior and you will do what the Word says. The Word cannot dominate your heart by just reading it, but by meditating day and night. You have to cultivate this habit.”

Prophet T.B. Joshua later ministered prayer at the Prayer Line where people from all over the world received healings, deliverances and prophecies, by the power of the Holy Spirit and in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Earlier on, Wise Man Christopher preached on the message: THE PROPHETIC PICTURE OF OUR FUTURE, urging Christians not to look at their situations from the human point of view but God’s. The proof-text was from the book of Genesis 37:5-11; a scripture about Joseph and how the Spirit of God gave him a prophetic picture of his future in a dream and saw himself in a position of authority.

He explained, “Your conduct and behaviour cannot change unless the Holy Spirit gives birth in you a picture of what He is looking at when He sees you. And that picture is a victor not a victim, a successful person not a failure, a blessed and healthy person not a poor and sick person. Like Joseph, if the Lord is with you, you would be comforted in whatever situation you find yourself. When God is supporting your position, there is comfort in affliction; strength in your weakness”.

BACK TO LIFE: RESURRECTION POWER AT WORK!

Mrs Chioma Okorie and family came to The SCOAN to testify about the resurrection power they had experienced in the name of Jesus Christ. She and her family had gone on a visit to their village at the beginning of this month. However, what had started as a happy excursion to cheer friends and relatives, ended in horror when, on their way back to the city, their car crashed as they were trying to avoid an oncoming speeding car. While she, her husband and daughter came out safely from the wreck without a scratch, a family friend’s daughter who was with them in the car, collapsed. They rushed her to the hospital but, on arrival, she was confirmed dead, to the shock of everyone. Mrs Okorie became worried and agitated not knowing how she would explain to the family that her own family had come out safely but their daughter had died. She remembered that she had in her handbag the Anointing Sticker she had received from The SCOAN. She placed it on the dead body and prayed with it for the resurrection power of Jesus Christ to restore the girl’s life. While praying in the name of Jesus, the girl stirred, woke up and began to talk, to the amazement of everyone.

“The first thing she asked was, ‘where is uncle?’ and we knew she was back to life,” said Mrs Okorie.

Ada Chukwu, the girl concerned, came out to testify that all she could remember was waking up on the hospital bed with the Anointing Sticker on her body. Praise God!

SCROTUM CANCER PERMANENTLY ELIMINATED IN JESUS’ NAME

Mr Edolor and his family came to express their sincere gratitude to God for His life-giving power. Mr Martins Edolor, 45 years-old, had developed scrotum cancer from what started as a tiny boil. The small sore turned into a fully-fledged wound that oozed blood and smelly pus. He could not eat. The scrotum as well as his stomach became very swollen. He was urinating blood. He could not drive or walk around or even wear trousers. The pain increased everyday and no drug he took worked. He went to the hospital and they carried out tests on him but they could not treat his condition because it had become too severe. The doctors only gave him some medication just to ease the pain. When his father saw him lie in the hospital bed with a big foul-smelling wound on his private parts and flies buzzing all over the room, he simply broke down in tears. He had just lost three sons in three years and could not stand the sight of seeing another inch close to the edge of yet another grave.

His sister, Comfort, a member of The SCOAN, encouraged him that he would not die; that the God of Prophet T.B. Joshua would heal him. She connected his phone so that he could hear Prophet T.B. Joshua’s prayers. He began to pray with the man of God. That night, after the prayer, the boil burst open. Blood and strange objects started coming out of the anus. For the first time, he had a slight relief and was able to move his leg. Three days later, they brought him to The SCOAN. By now, the horrible smell from the cancer had gone, making it easier for people to travel with him. He joined the prayer line and, as one of the Wise Men approached him, he said, he felt a cold sensation flow down his body to his feet. He stood up, all the pain was gone! For the first time in three weeks, he asked for his pair of trousers to be brought for him. He had been wearing a wrapper to avoid hurting himself.

“Within days after the prayer, the wound healed. Up to now, everything is normal and you cannot tell that I ever had scrotum cancer,” he said.

Mr Edolor is now back to his business, selling foodstuffs and living his life freely to the glory of God. His 84 year-old father said if his son had died, he was also ready to die as he could not bear the anguish. His sister, Comfort, advised people to get connected to the prayers of Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV and that Jesus Christ would transform their life.

ENGINEER BEN FINALLY BUILDS HIS OWN HOUSE
Engineer Ben and Family came to testify how they got breakthrough through the Anointing Sticker and Anointing Water. Although he and his family were staying in town, they had been facing serious accommodation problems when they visited the village. They had been making frantic efforts to build a house to replace the one left by his grandfather but due to financial setbacks, it all proved abortive. In 2012 they received the Anointing Water and the Anointing Sticker from The SCOAN with which he and his wife prayed with it for a miracle. In the same year, he had a dream in which he was reconstructing the old house and getting to his office, asked an architect to sketch it for him. With faith, he put the Anointing Sticker on the door of the old house and instructed his people to start clearing the ground around the old house telling them this was where God wanted them to start. He sprinkled the Anointing Water on the foundation of the new building and prayed in Jesus’ name. Since that time, they did not stop construction until the 10-room duplex building was completed. What they had failed to complete in years, was finished in just two and a half months. Also, while the construction was going on; God blessed him with a new SUV car. In December they all travelled to the village and no one could recognise the way to their house because in place of the old building was a new magnificent house, fully furnished. 

FAVOUR UPON FAVOUR FOR WOMAN OF FAITH

Taking her turn to testify was Mrs Theophilla Myoba from Lusaka in Zambia.  She had earlier come to The SCOAN with the problem of setback and limitation. Her family had been suffering from abject poverty. They were barely surviving. After human power and wisdom had failed to bail the family out of the seeming perpetual problem, she concluded that God was the only solution. Mrs Myoba’s situation was so critical that she even had to borrow money for her transport to come to The SCOAN. Even the clothes she wore, she borrowed. People laughed at her when she told them she was coming to The SCOAN but her faith was so strong that no one could dissuade her. While she was still at The SCOAN, a miracle happened. Her husband received a long-awaited promotion at his place of work and that marked the beginning of her breakthrough in the family. She also met the Man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, and was privileged to receive the Anointing Water. Back home in Zambia, taps of favour opened and poured upon her family. She received her own promotion. As a civil servant, she was able to complete a five-bedroom house she had been struggling to build. She is also a proud owner of two cars. She had never believed that she would ever own what she now has.

“Don’t listen to what people say; they laughed at me. Follow your heart and God will bless you,” she advised and showed viewers her new car and house she has built with God’s grace.

WOMAN FRAUDSTER EXPOSED AFTER STEALING GOD’S MONEY

Miss Coulibaly Assetou, from Ivory Coast, came to give testimony of her breakthrough and also tell a tragic account of her encounter with a professional fraudster who conned her of an estimated US$100,000 meant for God’s work. Miss Assetou had been experiencing problems in her business but after ministering the Anointing Water and praying with faith in Jesus’ name, she was able to open a multinational company stretching from France to Belgium and Italy – the first vehicle transit company in Ivory Coast. Since then, she has experienced breakthrough in every area of her life.

She explained that she had found out about The SCOAN through a Marie France Monnet, a woman who claimed to be Prophet T.B. Joshua’s representative in Ivory Coast. To express her appreciation to God and to support the worthy cause of Emmanuel TV, she decided to become a partner of the ministry. In line with that understanding, she gave a total sum of 45 million CFA to the woman to present to The SCOAN and Emmanuel TV for tithe and partnership payments. The sum is equivalent to 100,000 US Dollars.

To her utter shock, when she came to The SCOAN last week, she discovered that the money had never reached The SCOAN and that she had fallen into the hands of a fraudster. She was stunned and could not believe that the woman she had held in high esteem was not what she had professed to be but an imposter with no fear of God.

As if that was not enough, the same woman, Marie France Monnet called and told her that the man of God had given her a prophecy that she should give more money or else something bad would happen to her in 2014. Standing before the congregation on Sunday, she warned everyone especially those from Ivory Coast to be careful not to be duped by the fraudster. She also warned that there is no Emmanuel TV office in the country and people should watch out for such unscrupulous individuals who steal in the name of the Lord.

According to her, the woman had even claimed that she was going to bring a wise man to Ivory Coast.  Viewers all over the world, be careful of those who are interested only in their personal gain!

JESUS STOPS SEVERE BLEEDING, SAVES BABY ‘EMMANUEL’!

Mrs Imah Rosemary, from Edo State, had been bleeding profusely through her nose and mouth for eight consecutive days due to a ruptured nose artery. The doctor fixed a drip on her but the bleeding continued all the more. Her condition was deteriorating by the day and her situation was critical as she was eight months pregnant. The doctors declared that there was nothing more they could do. It was in this desperate state that her husband rushed her to The SCOAN as the last beacon of hope. Blood was ceaselessly gushing from both her mouth and nostrils into a bucket placed on her lap. It was a shocking spectacle to watch. Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for her at the prayer line and commanded the bleeding to stop, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. It did. Her nose and mouth went dry. Both her life and that of her unborn baby were saved and she has now safely delivered her baby boy and given him the name ‘Emmanuel’!  Her husband thanked Jesus for His mercy.

“She had stopped eating and drinking. The night after the prayer, she demanded for food and slept like a baby,” he said. When it was time for her to deliver her baby, they were in different locations but her husband ministered the Anointing Water on her picture, praying for her. A moment later, she called and told him that she had delivered safely without any complication. What a wonderful God we serve!

GENERATIONAL CURSE OF ARMED ROBBERY SMASHED!
Mrs Gifty Torubiri’s great-great grandfather was a witchdoctor and fetish man. Apart from being a seer for the chief’s throne in his area, he provided charms to thieves. It is not surprising, therefore, that the spirit of stealing entered his family and developed deep roots that grew to haunt the generations after him. Each family that descended from him had armed robbers who did not hesitate to shed blood. Mrs Torubiri’s own father was a notorious armed robber and died in the act. His killing made headlines in the press. All male members of the family were notorious criminals who abducted women and raped them. Not long ago, she was called to view bodies of her uncles shot dead by the police during a failed robbery attempt. Many people gathered to watch the execution. Meanwhile, all the females in the family have been prostitutes or married to armed robbers. After marrying armed robbers, they would give birth to armed robbers and so the cycle of crime continued. Her mother too lived a criminal’s life; selling Indian hemp and moving from one hotel to another, prostituting herself. As for herself, she always felt something urging her to steal and she has slept with more men than she can remember, unbeknown to her husband. She even slept with her landlord and the chief in her village while married. She could not explain why, but said that she would always desire other women’s husbands and was never satisfied.

All this was exposed at The SCOAN where she came for prayer the previous week. However, what brought her were financial difficulties. Little did she know that the root of her problem was a horrific family curse of armed robbery. When it was time for her deliverance and one of the wise men was approaching her, she was praying but then, suddenly, something within her told her to run away. The evil spirit inside her started to confess that it was the ‘great old woman’ and that it was responsible for the spirit of armed robbery in her family and that it had destroyed her destiny. To God be the glory, she was finally delivered.

After her deliverance, she is free. The thought of stealing is no longer there and she no longer thinks about other men nor desires to sleep with other people’s husbands. She pleaded for deliverance of her whole family as she did not want to be a mother of armed robbers. Her 17-year old son, she said, was already stealing and had recently been caught stealing a fowl, for which he was severely beaten. The tragic part of her story was that every robber in the family would eventually get killed.

Commenting on her situation and the deliverance, Prophet T.B. Joshua explained that when one kills an armed robber or a criminal, it is the body that is killed and not the evil spirit which is the cause of the stealing, killing and destroying. Therefore, the solution is deliverance from that evil spirit. “Once an evil spirit is cast out by the Spirit of God in the name of Jesus, it is caged perpetually until the Day of Judgment”, he said.

HEALED OF DIABETES THROUGH WATCHING EMMANUEL TV

Miss Misper Youngwe is a Cameroonian living in Germany. She had a dream where men sprayed tear gas on her. She woke up that day and had rashes all over her body. She went to the hospital where the doctors gave her medication to stop the rashes and scratching. She went for another test and was diagnosed to be a diabetic. This was strange to her because no one in her family had this problem. She started praying with Prophet T.B. Joshua while watching Emmanuel TV and carrying the test results, believing by faith for healing. She went for another test and glory to God, she was pronounced diabetic free to the surprise of the doctors. She advised that watching Emmanuel TV can transform your life.

The service closed with a Mass Payer ministered by the Wise Men. Praise God!

On Sunday February 9, 2015, the mighty presence of God was felt at the church service of The SCOAN. Apart from the edifying ministrations of the Emmanuel Singers, the passion and excitement of the congregation to connect with Heaven through prayer added spiritual substance to the day.

The man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua engaged the congregation in an enlightening yet instructive message about MEDITATION. According to the man of God, “Meditation brings revelation… Meditation in the Word is a visit with God. The Word becomes a part of us by meditation. If meditation in the Word is a visit with God, this means, meditation makes the Word a part of us. The Word becomes a part of us by meditation. Today, we talk of prayer and fasting but I have never heard where they lay emphasis on meditation”. In other words, the essence of meditation in the life of a Christian is phenomenal. Unfortunately, most Christians prefer to jump into fasting and prayer rather than meditate on the Word which in actual fact hastens the communion between man and God. It is when we constantly meditate on the Word of God that we receive heavenly insights for the future.

Speaking further, Prophet T.B. Joshua bemoaned the attitude of Christians to meditation, stressing that it is the foundation of every good plan or vision that sets out to prosper: “It is an issue Christians play down but it is fundamental; it is a foundation. People play down the word, ‘meditation’. For your plan towards a business to work smoothly, you must sit down and meditate where you are going, how much you need to spend, etc. It may be when you are lying on your bed in the night privately. You may be crying alone or smiling alone. Meditation means think more. Faith comes when the Word prevails over the thinking processes.” Describing meditation further as “more than thinking”, the man of God posited that it can take a Christian to the level when he or she becomes absorbed. According to him, that is the level where most Christians begin to speak in tongues: “When you engage in more than thinking, you may start crying or smiling, talking alone. You are talking to God and you have forgotten yourself. This is the level you need to go. This is the realm you can enjoy your life, not the realm you are. When you are thinking, you are aware of what is happening around you but when you are more than thinking, you are not aware of what is happening. This is the realm that can offer you speaking in tongues”.

Prophet T.B. Joshua concluded that we cannot reach God when our hearts are heavy with burdens: “You need a free spirit to interact, relate with God, to get on with God but your spirit is not free. The moment you discover that burden that put you in bondage, you can remove it by prayer. A free spirit is sensitive to the Spirit of God. The first thing you need to do is remove the burden. Faith makes the Word prevail”.

During Mass Prayer, the man of God took authority in the mighty name of Jesus to release those in whatever kind of bondage, ranging from career to health issues: “Whatever area of your life that is troubled, begin to command calmness. My career, business, spiritual life, destiny – I command calmness!”

In an earlier exhortation, Evangelist Anne, speaking on a message titled, ‘TRUST IN THE LORD BEFORE THE LIONS ARRIVE’ enjoined Christians to always be of good cheer in times of trials. She discouraged the attitude of asking God questions when things go awry, observing that what our Creator requires at all times is total trust in Him as exemplified by many biblical heroes. She also frowned at the faithless outbursts of unbelievers who would quickly blame God for all their failings: “If you ask someone who doesn’t believe in God why he doesn’t believe. The answer you will likely get is this – “If a loving God exists, why does He stand by and do nothing when others are hurting? Where was he when my innocent brother was jailed for a crime he never committed? Where was he when as a graduate, I was denied my right in society and had to join the men of the underworld? Where was he when everyone in my family became so poor that I now cater for them through prostitution?”

Encouraging Christians not to make hasty conclusions about God when they are faced with temporary challenges, she also reminded them that the present should not be used to judge the future because, the present might be gloomy but with God, there will always be a future full of hope: “Today, many act more like God’s enemies than his friends because of an inability to see beyond their immediate situation. They become rebellious in nature and often misinterpret God’s silence as rejection; they surrender to their fears while their hearts dream of a miracle and are quick to conclude that there is no future/hope/God!”

Evangelist Anne made reference to biblical characters like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego as well as Job and explained in detail how their trust in God turned their situations around even in the face of grave dangers: “Many biblical heroes had their faith challenged in a new way but they never cut off their dependence upon God. They knew that personal fulfilment and achievement came from learning from both positive and negative experiences; that there were no short cuts to spiritual maturity and that in their spiritual walk with God, there would be good and hard times”.

Concluding, Evangelist Anne admonished Christians about the antics of satan who would always want them to dwell on things God has not given them rather than those He has given them, stating that they are all ploys by the devil to place the world in their hearts so that Christ would be displaced: “Because satan knows he cannot stop those with spiritual insight into Christ Jesus, his main aim is to get you to forget all God has given and focus on what you don’t have.  But a Christian cannot afford to forget God than the Israelites could in their daily life. You can deny, ridicule, slander, and ignore God but His love remains constant and unchanging”.

MORNING WATER WASHES ADDICTION AWAY

One day Lucy Agada from Benue was taking a stroll in a field; she would never have imagined that this seemingly harmless act would be a turning point for the worse in her life. As she was walking, she smelt the scent of anthill soil and it appealed to her. Taking some from the ground, she began to eat it. That was the beginning of her addiction. Before long, she was totally addicted to the anthill soil, preferring it to ordinary food. To her, it tasted like chocolate and she would eat it four to five times a day. Her friends and family members thought she was mentally ill and she was very embarrassed but the craving continued all the more. Each time she tried to stop it, the desire would increase. The addiction went on for four years. She became desperate and in faith decided to come to The SCOAN for deliverance. At the Prayer Line, the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for her and ministered the Morning Water on her. She received her deliverance and the desire for the anthill soil vanished as quickly as it came. Free and full of joy, she testified to the great change in her life. She can now eat normally to the glory of God!

AFFLICTION OF ASTHMA ENDED

Miss Dume Rita’s life was brought to a standstill when she was diagnosed with asthma two years ago. This sickness was not just ordinary asthma. It was an affliction that affected every area of her life. She would have attacks three times a week and would be rushed to hospital at times in a critical condition. She did not look for work with any enthusiasm knowing that no company would accept her with such an affliction. She would have to dress warmly all the time in an attempt to guard against the frequent attacks. She was also allergic to perfume and immediately she smelt the scent of strong perfume, an attack would start. Watching Emmanuel TV, she believed that her sickness would be wiped away if she could just get hold of the Morning Water.

A friend came to The SCOAN and received the Morning Water. She gave it to Rita and after ministering it, the asthma vanished completely. She began to breathe normally and strength and life returned to her; she is healed! Now, she can use perfume and is no longer taking regular trips to the hospital. Not only was she healed physically; her career also turned around. After two years of unemployment, despite being a Business Management Graduate, she was blessed with a new job as a Retail Manager in a bank.

To cap it all, she was also healed of severe menstrual pain after Ministering the Morning Water. Her setback and sickness has truly been wiped away, in the name of Jesus Christ!

FULL MOVEMENT RETURNS THROUGH THE MORNING WATER

Imagine having to sleep in a seated position every night. How would it feel not to be able to look back, to the right or to the left? This was the unfortunate position Mrs. Patricia Onwubiko found herself in. Diagnosed with cervical spondylosis, she was given a neck collar which was to be worn at all times. This neck collar did little to ease the severe pain she was passing through. Not able to move around or even eat, she was truly in a sorry state. That was before she was brought to The SCOAN and received prayer from Prophet T.B. Joshua with the Morning Water. With just one spray, the muscles in her neck became loose and her bones were shifted back to their original position. She began turning her neck freely to the glory of God! Now free from pain, she threw away her neck collar, rejoicing at the healing power of Jesus Christ!

The SCOAN Sunday Service of February 15, 2015 was no doubt another huge success in the spiritual rejuvenation of God’s people. One thing that remains consistent with the church is its untiring resolve, passion for the salvation and redemption of mankind from all walks of life irrespective of gender or race. Hence, the name The Synagogue, Church of All Nations is not accidental but a fulfilment of the ministry’s God-given mandate to affect lives all over the world. It was therefore with an awe-inspiring approach that the entire congregation prepared their minds to receive the spiritual food dished out by the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua as well as the rich musical interjections by the spectacular Emmanuel Singers, a group whose reputation in musical ministration is soaring internationally.

Delivering his message titled CHRIST WILL MAKE HIS HOME IN YOUR HEARTS, the man of God affirmed that for our hearts to be qualified to be Christ’s home, we must put our trust in Him. We cannot claim to have Him in our hearts when our trust is on strange gods and deities. He cannot make our hearts his abode when our love for worldly pleasures supersedes our desire for Him. According to the man of God, who referred to the book of Romans 9:1, “Our heart is the communication/contact point. Christ dwells in our heart through faith. This means, it is the Word dwelling in you which is equivalent with Christ personally being in you. This means, Christ and the Word are one. If you know Christ and His Word are one, you bring Christ on the scene. Anytime you say, “In Jesus’ name”, you bring Christ on the scene instantly. Can’t you see the reason why you have not brought Jesus to the scene? Anytime you pray, you hear yourself, people around you hear you but Christ doesn’t hear you. When Christ doesn’t hear you and the people around you hear you, it is a dangerous mission”.

Animating the occasion with the popular Christian song Trust and Obey, Prophet T.B. Joshua analyses the way and manner in which Christ builds His home in our hearts through the Word: “As the Word dominates, rules and sanctifies our spirit’s nature, He is building Himself and making Himself a part of us. The faith bracelet will help you as you meditate the Word, it will dominate your heart; it will rule your heart and sanctify your spirit’s nature”. Speaking further, the man of God highlighted the relationship between meditating on the Word and uninhibited communion with God: “Meditation in the Word is a visit with God. As you meditate in the Word, it becomes part of us and we become a part of it. Meditation is not thinking but more than that because when we talk about thinking, we talk about the senses. Think more”.

Re-emphasising the essence of meditation in the life of a Christian, the man of God urged the congregation to embrace the practice as it affords them the opportunity of getting deeper insights into life and divine direction. He frowned on the lukewarm attitude of many towards the practice: “There is an area in our life we have neglected – meditation. There must be a quiet time when you sit down, imagine if this life is over, what is next. What you have never experienced before, think about that. Think of those who have gone. Think about what they left behind. This is what you have never heard. What you have never experienced before, think about it, if life is over. Think of those who have gone, friends, colleagues or relatives. After that, you can take your faith bracelet and begin to meditate”.

Explaining the role faith plays in our walk with God, Prophet T.B. Joshua stated that it is very difficult to please God without it. Hence, the need for Christians to exercise their faith at all times in order to be able to unleash their wonder-working potentials: “Only faith pleases God. Faith is perfected by our acting on the Word. How do you act on the Word? This is the secret. Faith comes through hearing the Word of God. There is more to that. Faith is hearing and obeying. You cannot obey that Word when the Word has not dominated, ruled and lived in your heart. Faith is like a coin. Faith is a Heavenly currency. You must take this Word to heart. It is what is dominating your heart that you can shout. This will replace everything”.

In conclusion, Prophet T.B. Joshua spoke on the secret of faith: “The secret of faith, the Word must dwell, live and rule your heart. Faith is perfected by our acting on the Word. The Word must dominate, rule and live in our heart. This is the secret of faith”. And for those who allow God to make His home in their hearts, Prophet T.B. Joshua describes them in the following words: “The Lord has given you a foundation. If today were your last day on earth, what will happen? You will begin to see revelation about yourself and others and from there, God will strengthen your mind to remember. The whole world doesn’t know what will happen next. This is what Christianity is all about – God’s opinion about yourself and others”.

FROM PAUPER TO PROPRIETOR

Akelisiyine Pius came to The SCOAN from Ghana with the problem of abject poverty (to the extent that he could not take care of his family).  Before going back to Ghana, he received the Anointing Water and believed that his life would turn around. After ministering the Anointing Water in the name of Jesus, he dreamt that Prophet T.B. Joshua was walking with him through a school. When he woke up, he started praying, although he had never had any previous thought of starting a school project. A few weeks later, his attention was brought to an abandoned school in his area. He purchased and took over the school and started operating in the middle of the academic year. Despite this, the process was very smooth because God was behind it. The school started with 65 students but before the end of that week, the school was filled up with 100 students. Now, to the glory of God, there are 330 students studying in his school. To add to the facility of the school, he bought a small van. Seeing the school was growing bigger and bigger, he had to buy a bigger school bus in addition to the small van. As the number of pupils continued to increase at a fast rate, he had to purchase an additional coaster bus to properly serve the pupils. Mr Pius advises everyone to do what God has put in their heart with faith.

“I SLEPT WITH 30 MEN A DAY…” – CONFESSIONS OF A DIABOLIC PROSTITUTE

If evil could be adequately defined in a story, Asatu’s would perhaps be a model. A background stooped in satanic secrecy opened the gateway for wickedness of unimaginable proportions to work through her. Initiated at a tender age into a cult that thrived on the belief in animal superiority, Asatu’s private parts were marked for destruction in a sick ritual. Her parents’ premature death led her to seek spiritual help in darker places that only ended up entangling her deeper in bondage. An attempt at marriage ended abysmally as the relationship that spawned two young children ended with her being thrown onto the streets. Desperate and smarting with anger, Asatu succumbed to the lure of ‘greener pastures’ abroad, following a strange lady to Nigeria.

Upon reaching Nigeria, the lady took her to a witchdoctor, whose charm, which promised to restore her marital bliss, ended up killing her estranged husband. Resorting to prostitution, Asatu roamed the four corners of Nigeria, sleeping with up to 30 men in a day to fend for herself. Burdened by her two young children, her willpower eventually whittled away to the point where the unthinkable became feasible – she ‘gave’ out her kids. “I have no ideas where they are right now,” she confessed to the shocked congregants at The SCOAN.

Eventually ending up in Lagos on the prostitution trail, the brothel where she ‘worked’ was broadcasting an unusual television station – Emmanuel TV. Upon watching and learning The SCOAN was located in Lagos, she made the decision to attend the service last week, tired of her dirty lifestyle. As Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for calmness to descend upon the congregants in the mass prayer, an incredible sequence of events unfolded for Asatu! A shocking, rumbling sensation welled within her stomach forcing her to her knees. Then, it came out. A disgusting item wrapped in red thread with a needle interwoven. The charm she had ingested many years ago in the home of a spiritualist had been forced out by God’s power!

After her deliverance, Asatu testified that the terrible dreams she previously had of dungeons and graveyards were gone as was the urge to engage in illicit prostitution.  “Believe in God,” she tearfully advised the somber congregation. “Leave evil and give your life to God. Only God has the final say in everything.”

DOUBLE BLESSING THROUGH ANOINTING WATER MINISTRATION
Mr. and Mrs. Decku alongside Miss Nukunu, Mrs. Decku’s younger sister came to The SCOAN with their lives full of challenges. While Mrs. Decku’s case was incessant miscarriages, her younger sister Miss Nukunu was suffering from abject poverty. Mrs Decku who had been married for three years would always have a nightmare anytime she was pregnant and that experience always ended in her losing the pregnancy. Her husband was dejected about her condition and the state of things. The trio came to a conclusion to come to The SCOAN to receive the ministration of the Anointing Water. As the couple went back to Ghana, they prayed, ministered the Anointing Water in Jesus’ name and met as husband and wife. One day, while they visited the doctor to attend to his health, it was also confirmed that his wife was pregnant. Praise the Lord! Miss Nikunu on her own part, after receiving the ministration of the Anointing Water, received a call from a friend who owns a big company in Ghana. She was offered a job as a sales representative for one of the branches of his company. Her salary was increased ten times more than what she earned before. Indeed, with God’s power, nothing is impossible!

INABILITY TO WALK SUCCUMBS TO THE POWER OF GOD

Nwakolo Godwin came to The SCOAN from Delta State, Nigeria with difficulty in walking due to lumbar spondylosis. As a result, he could neither walk well nor stand for more than five minutes. He could not sleep because of the excruciating pain he had. He had visited several places in search of solution to this problem but all to no avail. He then decided to come to The SCOAN for his healing. He was arranged at The SCOAN Prayer Line. Immediately Prophet T.B. Joshua touched him, he received instant healing. He could not explain how this happened; all he knew was that he was healed. Now that he is healed, he can do anything. DELIVERED FROM THE SPIRIT OF PORNOGRAPHY

The prophecy that his addiction to the internet had led to the collapse of his marriage hit him like a bolt out of the blues. Mr. Childress Simmons Jnr. Could not deny the cataclysmic turn his life had taken after the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua had uncovered the dark corner of his life.

His mother’s separation from his father was the beginning of his doom. With no choice, he went with his mother to live with her new found love, his step-father. There, his young life was infected with the spirit of pornography through his step-brother who actually introduced him into the evil practice, being in ownership of a rich library of pornographic magazines and videos. At the tender age of 10 he was already addicted. His young life was already shedding its innocence and was at the trench destruction. Due to his excessive nocturnal ritual of watching pornographic videos, he became a social menace; he would sleep while driving as a result of exhaustion. His mindset was corrupted to the extent that he had no regard for women. After all, he had seen it all! Those things that made womanhood sacred were the same he saw and trivialised at will. Haunting him like a ghost passionate to destroy its target at all cost, his addiction to pornography became the Achilles Hill of his life. The only thing that motivated him into marriage was the satisfaction of his sexual fantasies – a disease which his addiction had brought about. His marriage eventually crumbled after few months when he realised that his appetites were insatiable just as his diseased thinking was incurable. His knack for masturbation increased with every successful pornographic exercise.

Mr Simmons was lost to world that was destroying him gradually. He was even unaware that he needed help. He was deeply engrossed in the unwholesome practices of masturbation and pornography even when a second marriage was consummated. “All this while, I knew I was killing myself but there was nothing I could do about it. In my second relationship I started looking for a solution. I started fasting and going to prayer houses”. It dawned on him that he needed God to deliver him from the dungeon of self-destruction he had thrown himself into.

God’s overflowing mercies remain the hallmark of worship and thanksgiving that have continued to characterise every Sunday Service at The SCOAN. On Sunday, March 8, 2015, that intense atmosphere of worship and praise radiated the entire congregation, creating a connection between the worshippers and the host of Heaven whose presence was felt in the depth of the soul-lifting songs delivered by the Emmanuel Singers. Every aspect of the service symbolised God. From the smiles that emanated out of hopeful countenances to the unhindered dance steps of those moved by the Spirit, the reality of God’s presence was written all over the gallery down to the overflows where great testimonies of His wonder-working nature never ceased to blossom like trees planted by the river side and watered by the Lord.

Speaking generally on the ideal attitude of Christians to situations around them, the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua urged Christians to desist from the act of worrying as it lays them back and disconnects them from the intervention of God. Instead of worrying, he says they should, at every point in time, cast their burdens unto God: “When one is thinking, worried and troubled, your spirit cannot be free to attract the Spirit of God. We cannot be available for God when we are worried. Maybe something is troubling or worrying you; you cannot be available for God’s Spirit. It is when we are free, our spirit is free. This is why 1 Peter 5:7 says, ‘Cast your cares, your troubles to God because He cares for you and loves you’. When we are troubled, we cannot be sensitive to the Spirit of God. You need a free spirit to pray. You need a free spirit to hear from God. You cannot hear from God when your spirit is troubled”. The man of God further admonished Christians from allowing burdens stand between them and the goodness of God. He observed that as soon as we are ready to commune with God in whatever way, we must ensure that all our burdens are forgotten: “When you want to open your Bible and read, it is time to give all your trouble. When you take up your Bible, immediately give all your cares and troubles to God. Leave all that is worrying you and bothering you before opening the Bible. If not, you will read but will not be able to obey what you read…It is not all up to God; certainly it is not all up to you. It takes your genuine willingness and God’s ability to achieve something. You can choose to overlook everything and open your Bible and read. Don’t look for the solution for the trouble you have in the Bible. Read the Bible for the salvation of your soul”.

The man of God also reminded Christians about the indispensable place of meditation in the walk and communion with God. According to him, meditation brings about insight and helps to erase mental obstacles from the mind: “Ask for a free spirit. Meditation reveals the burden in our spirit. Meditation exposes the burden in our spirit. That is why we have the Faith Bracelet. “Oh Holy Spirit, take more of me; give me more of You”.

ANOINTING WATER PROPELS A TRUCK DRIVER TO COMPANY DIRECTOR
Life was so unfair to Mr. Olaoluwa Akinmuyise that he found it a herculean task to carter to the needs of his family, finding himself on the throes of penury and stagnancy. His donkey years as a truck driver did not avail much reward to his life. However, Mr. Akinmuyise’s encounter with a friend inspired his decision to start watching Emmanuel TV. GALL STONES REMOVED WITHOUT AN OPERATION!
The pain transcended the limits of the ordinary after persisting for 32 long years. Mr. Oba Anthony Tokunbo’s medical consultation revealed he had stones in his gall bladder, a condition that prompted doctors to suggest an urgent operation in order to avoid total damage. Worried and fatigued as a result of excruciating migraines and an increasing blood pressure, Mr Anthony feared an operation. Looking elsewhere for solution, he chose to make his way to The SCOAN rather than the operating room and he received the Morning Water. On the date scheduled for his operation, Mr Anthony ministered the Morning water in prayer and headed to the hospital in faith.

As precursor to the anticipated surgery, the doctor carried out further tests. Upon receiving the results that day, he asked Mr Anthony, “How did it happen?” The ways of God are not the ways of man. 30 YEAR YOKE OF BEDWETTING BROKEN!
Juer Kuac, a South Sudanese living in Australia, was tormented by an embarrassing scourge of bed-wetting that had been a family curse. It gravely affected her self-esteem, marriage and relationships. For over 30 years, she labored under the strangulating manacles of that unholy yoke.

Sunday April 19, 2015 witnessed an outpouring of the Spirit of God during The SCOAN Live Sunday Service. With songs of praise and worship radiating throughout the entire auditorium and putting the congregants on their dancing feet in celebration of God’s benevolence, the Emmanuel Singers prepared the way for the man of God to impart the Word on the minds of God’s people.

Citing the admonition of Jesus to His faithful in John 16:33 (“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows but take heart because I have overcome the world.”), the man of God reminded Christians of the inevitability of trials in the Heavenly race, stressing the fact and cardinal truth that only in Jesus would the world find peace, redemption and triumph. But before these are attained, there must always be a season of trials and sorrows even as our Lord was put through from Golgotha to Calvary.

“Your trials could be limitation in progress, setback, isolation or any foolish thing. Jesus is saying in this Scripture, ‘Even though the world is a danger place, in Me, you will be saved – I will keep you safe. Even though the world is a danger zone, a danger place, in me, I will keep you safe’. It means Jesus is closer to you than you, yourself”.

For those who are without Jesus and who have become more engrossed in their problems and challenges, the man of God said they are missing the privilege of enjoying the benefits which being under the cover of Jesus offers. As we cast our minds upon Jesus, He has promised to carry our burdens.

“If you are without Jesus, you will always be conscious of problems, fear instead of being conscious of Jesus. People are conscious of fear and problems but not of Jesus today. People are no longer conscious of God. If the way you are conscious of your situation was the way you were conscious of God, your life would not be like this.”

Commenting on the recent xenophobic attacks in South Africa, Prophet T.B. Joshua observed that every country of the world has its peculiar challenges. This assertion brings us to the fact that even countries pass through trials in order to mature spiritually. It also shows that all human hassles are vanity because those who have fled their countries to South Africa have now realized that the real greener pasture lies in running unto God.

The man of God therefore urged all Africans to come together as one to fight the common enemy, satan. “The wound of one should be the wound of all. Whatever happens in any African country, we should be concerned and come together. We should see it as ours. Every continent is like a human being. One country may be leg, mouth, head etc. If anything happens to a part of the body, the whole body will feel it. That is the way it should be. Today, if anything happens, we evacuate our people. Why can’t we come together to redeem our continent? Africa, unite”.

Concluding, the man of God urged the congregation to use their faith to put a demand on the anointing as he took authority in Jesus’ name to lead a Mass Prayer against satan and all his evil antics manifested through generational curses and other means of disrupting the good works of God.

TESTIMONIES
Week in, week out, the wonderful works of God in the lives of His people from all over the world are testified to at The SCOAN as a mere token of what our Father in Heaven can do. THE OVARIAN CYST FELL OUT!
Mrs. Tebogo Nfana from Botswana suffered severe pains in her lower abdomen for eight long years. In her quest for medical solution, she was diagnosed by her doctors with an ovarian cyst. The pain that accompanied her health condition rendered her redundant at home as her husband took up her domestic duties such as preparing food and catering for the other needs of their children. The doctors would only administer painkillers to her, telling her that there was no other solution within their reach.

Moved by a faith that knew no bounds, all she needed to do was to touch the screen while her husband was being prayed for at the Prayer Line. Her husband had come down to The SCOAN in 2013 to stand as a connection point to his wife who was in far away Botswana. They had agreed in faith that as soon as he is being prayed for at the Prayer Line, she should just touch the screen for her healing. Just as her husband was about to receive prayer, he had sent her an SMS asking her to touch the Emmanuel TV screen to receive her healing. As her husband, who had already placed hands on his abdomen (to represent his wife), was being ministered to, Mrs. Nfana touched the TV screen to claim her healing in faith.

Minutes later after her historic display of faith, she felt pressed and rushed to the restroom to relieve herself. To her surprise, a large lump came out! After a while, she returned to her doctors to ascertain her state of health. As usual, a fresh scan was carried out. The result was a miracle. The ovarian cyst that had been earlier detected was nowhere to be found! Filled with indescribable joy and laughter, Mrs. Nfana told the congregation that there is nothing God cannot do and advised them to continue to use the Morning Water as a point of contact between them and their miracles in Jesus’ name.

UNCOMMON BLESSING BESTOWED ON BOXING CHAMP
For Mr. Michael Ayitey Powers, it was a huge embarrassment for months as he kept on jumping from taxi to taxi. It was not a status befitting for an internationally reputed cruiser weight boxing champion of Ghanaian descent. The last car he bought was eventually taken away from him after the purchase deal went awry due to some disagreements with the seller. This development turned him into a common pedestrian who only managed to use taxis from time to time. Soon, the gossip-mongering public began to bandy rumours about his taxi-boarding escapades. Shattered by those unsavoury experiences, he was in dire need of a change for the best. He desired a car befitting of his status and looked up to God for intervention.

As he was walking around one day, he saw a vehicle for sale which he admired at a car dealership showroom and decided to enquire about its cost. The Audi A4 car according to the owner was to go for fifty thousand Ghanaian Cedis. Even though he had no money at that point in time, he requested to test-drive the car. After test-driving the car, he was impressed with it and decided to park somewhere to pray to God for the provision of the money for the purchase of the car. Clutching his Faith Bracelet, he cried out to God asking him to prove Himself once again by making him the proud owner of the Audi A4.

After praying and asking God to make him the owner of the car, he went back to the owner to hand the car over to him. Apparently expecting negotiations to begin, the owner was shocked when Mr. Powers told him that he would come back for the car because it belongs to him. After they had exchanged phone numbers he told the car owner that no one else would buy the car except him. After that encounter with the car owner, he moved on pondering on how to raise the money for the car.

While praying in church one day, he was informed by a friend that the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua was around. After church that day, he went to one of the ushers to find out if he could just say hello to the man of God. He was told that though, the man of God was in Ghana, he was not available at that moment, so Powers returned home. Being a multi-talented personality with interests in music and showbiz, he was on location for a movie and left his phone at home. When he returned, he discovered several missed calls including an SMS from The SCOAN requesting him pick his calls. By the time he called the number from The SCOAN, he was informed that the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua had been trying to see him. He was however also informed that, though the man of God had returned to Nigeria, he left a message for him.

Hearing this message, he rushed down to the church thinking that the man of God had left some Morning Water for him. On getting to the church, he was ushered into a room where he saw one of the greatest wonders of his entire life! A big envelope filled with money was shown to him as the message left for him by the man of God. According to him, all through his professional boxing life, he had never seen that kind of money. Opening the envelope, he discovered he had been blessed with a huge financial. Speaking with authority, he immediately put a call across to the car owner to come for his money. That was how he became the proud owner of an Audi A4 open roofed car. Many people were unable to come to terms with the miraculous blessing that came Mr. Powers’ way; there were insinuations that he rented the car. But that was only a confirmation that God’s glory and power are beyond human comprehension.

EMOTIONAL RESTORATION AND BREAKTHROUGH AFTER PROPHECY
Mr. Emmanuel Gati from Ghana suffered untold emotional trauma after the death, in a motor accident, of his loving wife whom he cherished so much. He was so stricken by her death that he collapsed and remained unconscious for four days. Even after he regained consciousness, the mental and emotional tolls weighed heavily upon his shoulders. Doctors diagnosed him with a heart attack. His business also suffered stagnation as he tried to sort his life out from the rubbles of emotional ruin. Burdened by the stark reality of his better half’s demise, some persons were speculating that he had a hand in her death. With the unfortunate interplay of all those incidents, it took only God’s grace for him to survive the sad odds conspiring against his happiness.

One of his friends who took profound notice of his withdrawn composure insisted that he had to come down to The SCOAN for spiritual rehabilitation. But that was a tall order for the grieving man whose wife was still in the mortuary, waiting to be laid to rest that week. Somehow, he bowed to the pressure to visit The SCOAN. Seated in the auditorium, he was spotted during prophecy time by the man of God who first and foremost cleared the air concerning the wrong accusations that he had a hand in his wife’s death. The man of God said Mr. Gati is a very responsible father who loved his wife and was shaken by her death. He even said that had Mr. Gati the power, he would have laid down his own life to save that of his wife.

The man of God prophesied that Mr. Gati is destined to be rich adding that the Petrol Station he had was only a tip of the iceberg. He said Mr. Gati would own petrol depots. Many people called to sympathise with him having realized through the man of God’s prophecy that he had no hand in his wife’s death. After the burial of his wife, he gradually began to get over all his emotional challenges.

True to the prophecy of the man of God, after the burial of his wife, he started and completed the construction of a multi-purpose stopover made up of a restaurant, shopping malls, a petrol station and fuel depots. His restaurant is now one of the most popular and prestigious in his area, attracting well over 3,000 guests on a daily basis. Confessing that his thinking, emotional life and health improved after coming to The SCOAN where he received the life-changing prophecy, Mr. Gati also said that his businesses took a dramatically prosperous turn to the glory of God.

Displaying pictorial evidence of his booming business empire, he thanked God for changing his story and urged the congregation to take advantage of the anointing available to break every yoke of poverty and setback in their lives!

It was another moment of praise, worship and thanksgiving. The congregation would never be tired of giving thanks to their God for all the wonderful works He continues to do in their lives. The atmosphere was replete with joy, hope and the urgency of divine expectations. The songs of the Emmanuel Singers added life to the day as the congregants digested some spiritual food from the lyrical admonitions of the choir. Sunday, July 12, 2015 witnessed a SCOAN church service that once again connected the people of God with their Father in heaven. It was a day the Lord Himself made and the congregants rejoiced and were glad in it.

Evangelist Fanny reminded Christians of the need to guard the content of their heart as it is the most treasured gift God has given them. In fact, she describes the heart as a treasury in a message titled: TAKE CARE OF THE TREASURY, YOUR HEART. According to Evangelist Fanny: “What a person treasures or values determine what he thinks about all day long, what he talks about and whom he will obey I mean determines his meditation, conversation and actions. God has entrusted us with a treasury which is our heart and the things coming out of the treasury translate what you regard as valuable I mean whom you decided to yield your spirit to. Just as there is no neutral kingdom, there is no neutral heart. Your heart is either a residence of the Holy Spirit or a residence of satan (Romans 8:7-9)”. In other words, our hearts determine the nature and quality of our lives. As Christians, it is from the contents of our hearts that we can be seen either as God’s children or friends of the devil.

According to Evangelist Fanny, we cannot occupy our hearts with worldly things and expect the Spirit of God to remain there: “As long as the things of the world are in place in your treasury, the things of the spirit will be displaced. I mean as long as the rocks of hatred, the thorns of unfaithfulness and the stone of un-forgiveness are in your treasury, the pearls of kindness, the precious stones of faithfulness, the silver of goodness and the gold of love will be affected – for a good man has a good treasure in his heart and from there he brings forth good things proving his son-ship”.

Continuing, she added that Christians fall into temptations and lose faith in God because their hearts are filled with mundane things: “Our heart is so corrupt that when faced with temptation, test and trials, our affection becomes unstable. We focus on man and lose focus on God. We place position, money and the likes above God in our heart and fail the test -because we are more of ourselves and less of Him, more of the flesh and less of the Spirit – not in harmony with the Word. We are hiding under the cover of religion rather than relationship with God – forgetting that the great thing God looks at and requires is the heart”.

To live a fulfilled and Spirit-filled life capable of making our hearts His dwelling place, Evangelist Fanny offered a recipe: “Let the Word of God become your database for your personal opinion. Love, kindness, good affection, tenderness, wisdom of utterance, power to counsel and good knowledge must be treasures hidden in the treasury ready for use as occasion demands. She concluded by admonishing Christians to take good care of their hearts and ensure that it is always filled with positive things rather than the garbage of mundane considerations: “Take care of your heart – Be careful with what you think right now – always think positively. Let us remember always that Jesus still sees the treasury today, just as much as He had done during His earthly ministry. He knows the motives and purpose behind men’s action; He looks at the disposition of their hearts while praying, moving, talking – whether they are doing what they are doing to honour God that is in humility and faith or to be honoured by men with arrogance and conceit. You cannot do anything successfully and fellowship with God when your heart is full of evil thoughts, hatred, jealousy, greed and the like”.

For Mrs Lillian Lawrence, the joy that came into her life was definitely a miracle. FRUIT OF THE WOMB RECEIVED THROUGH MORNING WATER MINISTRATION
Mr and Mrs Elom Bernard from Ebonyi State were married for over five years without a child. Diagnosed with low sperm count and staphylococcus, respectively, it was the most dispiriting experience for them to bear the brunt of childlessness in a continent where it is perceived as some kind of stigma and social inadequacy. The SCOAN Sunday service of October 11, 2015 was packed with incisive messages that came from different quarters. From the SCOAN Worship Team came songs of praise and worship that reminded congregants of the need to draw nearer to God in an era when the distractions of this world are so prevalent.

Consequently, Evangelist Annette, in her message titled FLIRTING WITH OTHER GODS summed up the vanity of chasing and mingling with entities which seem to take the place of God in our lives. It could be money, fame, beauty, education or even pride. Her deep message captured the universality of God’s supremacy over all His creation and His propensity to get jealous of our infidelity in His marriage with us. She stated, “As Christians, the Bible warns us against flirting with other gods because as the children of Israel demonstrated in the Old Testament, flirting leads not only to immorality and unfaithfulness but also causes jealousy on the part of our God and the Book of Exodus 20:5 tells us that our God is a jealous God. In marital relationships, husbands and wives have a key responsibility to remain faithful to each other; likewise as Christians, we have a key responsibility to remain faithful to God”.

RAISED FROM THE VALLEY OF LACK TO THE HEIGHTS OF ABUNDANCE

In a desperate bid to seek greener pastures, Mr Chinonso Igweze swore he would get an American visa at all costs. His desperation fuelled his vaulting ambition to the extent that a family member took him to a spiritualist in an obscure bush located around Badagry area of Lagos, Nigeria. After collecting his personal details, the spiritualist requested for his mother’s clothing. But scared of the consequences of his actions, he went home without returning. After some time, he began to see the spiritualist in his dreams. On certain occasions, the spirit would appear physically in the form of a human skeleton, opening the door to his room and scaring the life out of him.

As these strange realities unfolded around him, things became pretty precarious. His life nosedived from hope to hopelessness. He found himself caught up in a web of struggles. Seated in the auditorium during a Sunday service, he was spotted by the man of God who reeled out prophetic insights about all his past activities, including the visit to the spiritualist as well as the reading of the spiritual book.

Having affirmed the prophecies of the man of God about his life, he received his deliverance. After his deliverance, he returned to South Africa. In a matter of months, his life took a promising turn. The clouds of hopelessness that dimmed his glory gave way to a brighter and newer beginning. He soon acquired a truck which he put on the road for haulage business.  In no time, he was able to acquire two buildings from the proceeds of his new venture. In his own words, “…after my deliverance at The SCOAN, my life changed positively and moved from lack to abundance”. He advised people all over the world to hold onto God and seek Him for deliverance.

SWOLLEN PROSTATE DEFLATED BY THE ANOINTING

Chief Ojong Roland, a traditional ruler from Cameroon suffered very severe pains in his genitals. He found it difficult passing out urine. Whenever he was travelling from one state to the other within his country, he would draw the ire of other passengers anytime he alighted from the vehicle to ease himself because of the time it would take him to urinate. His condition was so bad that sometimes he would just abandon one vehicle only to board another in order to avoid offending other passengers. All medical examinations conducted on him showed no result even when they were narrowed down to sexually transmitted diseases. Eventually, doctors confirmed he had a swollen prostate.

Sleep became alien to him as he would stay awake all night battling with his bladder which struggled to pass out urine in batches. While his ordeal with the strange ailment lasted, one of his advisers in the palace introduced him to Emmanuel TV and encouraged him to try the power of God at The SCOAN. In 2013, he visited the Arena of Liberty where he received the Morning Water and returned to his country. On getting back to Cameroun, the pains reared their ugly heads once again. But convinced that the Morning Water is filled with the healing power of God, he ministered it to his lower abdomen, declaring that his situation would not escape the anointing of God. Within seconds, he felt the forceful urge to urinate and decided to do so into a bowl. As he emptied his bladder, a maggot dropped out!

Since that moment, he was delivered from the pains and the inability to urinate freely. When he returned for another medical examination after ministering the Morning Water, he was certified free from the swollen prostate that almost rendered him incomplete. Thanking God for his deliverance, he urged people to turn to God, irrespective of their social status as only Him can heal and deliver them.

SPIRIT OF SMOKING ANNIHILATED

Mr Jonas Chukwuma, a Nigerian living in London, started smoking cigarettes since 1990 and continued the dirty habit until four years ago when he had an encounter with the power of God via Emmanuel TV. Then, he would wake up from sleep every morning with a stick of cigarette in his hand. He could not empty his bowels without lighting ‘the stick of destruction’. Sometimes, he smoked a packet or more in a day, depending on his mood. His finances suffered from the habit as he found it difficult to save money. He knew he had a problem and decided to seek solution.

A friend introduced him to Emmanuel TV and urged him to seek God’s intervention into his case through the channel. He eventually found the channel on the internet where he prayed along with Prophet T.B. Joshua right from his home in London. After the prayer, he felt uneasy all over his body and rushed to the bathroom to take a shower only to resume smoking after he had felt some calmness. As he smoked away, a voice declared, “…you are set free from the spirit of smoking from henceforth”.

From that moment till today, he has not returned to cigarette smoking. His business and financial fortunes have improved commendably. Thanking God for setting him free from a habit that held him hostage for many years, he encouraged people all over the world, to believe in God’s power.

TRIPLE PROMOTION INSPIRED BY THE ANOINTING

Mr Dennis Ogegere from Delta State, Nigeria, had applied for the position of a Fireman in the Delta State Civil Service but was erroneously offered the position of a driver. Accepting the offer physically, he decided to fight for his rightful position spiritually by coming down to The SCOAN to receive the Morning Water. The following year, he was informed of a promotion exam. As he prepared to go for the exam, he was told not to bother as his name was no longer included in the list of eligible candidates. But convinced that the God of T.B. Joshua would see him through, he ministered the Morning Water on his appointment letter.

Afterwards, he attended the interview much to the surprise of his friends who wondered how his name even came up when he never sat for the exam. After the interview, he was sent a corrective letter confirming his employment as Fireman instead of driver. After one year, his promotion was granted as he was elevated to the position of Leading Fireman. The following year, he also received promotion as Senior Fireman

He was subsequently promoted to Chief Fire Superintendent. Displaying his triple promotion letters to the admiration of The SCOAN congregation, he thanked God for lifting him up from oblivion to glory while urging people not to lose hope or get discouraged whenever they are facing challenges in life.

On Sunday November 8, 2015, congregants at The SCOAN witnessed God’s presence in an elaborate fashion. The multi-lingual deliveries of the Choir carried everybody along and ignited the passion for true praise and worship in the minds of all those present. The time of Mass Prayer witnessed the bombardment of the kingdom of darkness from many fronts. Unclean spirits which could not withstand the onslaught of the power of God succumbed to the anointing by manifesting through their victims before they were cast out in Jesus’ mighty name never to return.

In her short but explosive message titled THE WAY OF THE CROSS, Evangelist Evelyn Joshua highlighted the precocity of God’s grace in the lives of His creation, especially those who have been redeemed by the death of Christ on the Cross. The core essence of her message is captured in the following words: “But if the battle were for the strong or the race for the swift, there would have been no basis for the promise of hope – for people like you and I, without fast legs, smoothness of tongue or power to inspire. Many a good man, dedicated and hard working spend their days unnoticed and uncelebrated. What can you say? God knows we are weak that is why He chooses grace.” In a closing prayer, she commended all who received the message to depend upon the grace of God.

ASTHMA, ENLARGED HEART AND ALCOHOLISM UPROOTED FOREVER 

Right from childhood, suffered from bronchial asthma. She was allergic to smoke, dust and all perfume fragrances. As she grew up, her attempts to control the condition resulted in her romance with alcoholic concoctions through the advice of friends and family who reckoned that a mixture of ginger, garlic and brandy or gin would take care of her problem. But rather than yield the much desired result, she became a drunkard who developed serious dependence on alcoholic beverages just to get through the day. On several occasions, she would lie to her siblings and even steal from her husband in order to satiate her alcoholic appetite, especially on Fridays.

By the time she got married, she found a worthy partner in her husband who himself was prolific in consuming booze. It was a sorry story to see husband and wife hooked on a substance that had destroyed many lives and destinies. However, God intervened in their lives through a friend in Swaziland. They were introduced to Emmanuel TV by that friend and her husband was the first to be touched by God. While watching Emmanuel TV together, Mr Sakala touched the screen and suddenly began to shake and fell to the floor. His wife dismissed it as a result of drunkenness. After that moment of an encounter with Jesus Christ through Emmanuel TV till today, he has not taken alcohol. For Mrs Sakala, she was not so easily taken with the channel and continued asking money from her husband to continue her usual drinking habits. He obliged but each time told her that she would soon join him. Truly, a short time later, Mrs Sakala also gave up her drinking after a while of watching Emmanuel TV and praying with the man of God. She couldn’t even understand how it all happened but she was certain the miracle came through praying along with Prophet T.B. Joshua on Emmanuel TV.

Mrs Sakala also testified to her healing from bronchial asthma and an enlarged heart after she was prayed for by the man of God at the Prayer Line. After the prayer, she has not experienced any of those debilitating symptoms anymore. Even when she returned to her country of residence, she discovered she could do those things she could not do before. All subsequent medical reports showed that she now has a clean bill of health. Mrs Sakala, in the spirit of thanksgiving, advised people all over the world to remain steadfast in God.

KIDNEY STONES FLUSHED OUT BY HOLY GHOST POWER

Mr Henry Preye, a native of Bayelsa State residing in Port Harcourt, was diagnosed with kidney stones. For seven years, he suffered from severe and excruciating pain. In spite of all the medications he took, there was no solution in sight as the pains continued. A friend introduced him to Emmanuel TV and he afterwards became an ardent viewer of the channel. As he continued to watch Emmanuel TV, his faith grew in leaps and bounds. He became passionate about the healing and miracles that happen at The SCOAN and decided to visit the church.

When he visited The SCOAN, he received the Morning Water and went back home happy and convinced that God would set him free from the health burden he was carrying. As he continued to minister the Morning Water to himself with prayer and fasting, he discovered that those painful symptoms were beginning to subside. This development coincided with his company’s directive to all staff to go for medical check-ups. It was when his medical results came out that it was confirmed that his kidney problem was no more. Today, he is free from the ailment. To further confirm his healing, Mr Preye also passed out the kidney stones through urine after using water therapy as directed by the man of God. Thanking God for his healing, he advised people with similar challenges to know the truth as it would set them free.

FROM COLOSSAL DEBT TO COLOSSAL BREAKTHROUGH

Hon. Dr. Ruth Labode is a member of the Zimbabwean parliament. She is a medical doctor by profession and served her region as the first female medical director. After a while, she developed some allergies and decided to go into private business. The business however did not last too long, leaving her indebted to a local bank to the tune of over a hundred thousand US dollars. As she struggled to gather herself together, the bank came asking to recover the debt she owed. At this juncture, she became confused and harboured suicidal thoughts knowing that her only house could be confiscated by the bank and auctioned.

In a chance meeting with the chief executive of another bank, she explained her challenges to the man who afterwards intervened by paying the loan she owed the other bank and spread the repayment for her in a 10-year mortgage plan, thereby ensuring that her house was saved from being auctioned as threatened by the loaner bank. These developments came after she had ministered the Morning Water. As she continued ministering the Morning Water and praying with the Morning Sticker, Dr. Labode, who was just an ordinary nominee, went on to become a member of parliament and was eventually elected the chairperson of the Health Committee. She was also appointed into the national executive committee of her political party.

Thanking God for the legion of blessings bestowed upon her by God through the Morning Water and Morning Sticker, Dr. Labode also noted that her son received a grant he had applied for after they prayed and ministered the Morning Water. He also got a job through the same medium to the glory of God. Dr. Labode advised people to trust in God and have faith Him in whatever they do.

DELIVERED FROM VIOLENT LION SPIRIT

Ms Hannah Bazon from Sierra Leone was given a charm by her mother to use for her ‘success and protection’ yet since then, her life took a destructive turn. She became afflicted with violent spirits, including that of a lion which pushed her to do a tattoo on her hand. She suffered from severe anger and lust and was so violent to the extent that when she caught her only son stealing their neighbour’s meat, she thrust his hands up to the wrist in the flames the meat was cooking in. She would go around fighting even with men.

Members of her family would always call her to come and fight for them whenever they had quarrels with people. She lied against her stepfather, one of her greatest benefactors in order to take him out of her way because the spirit in her disliked the good works he was doing in her life. She also engaged in prostitution and had a special way of seducing men. She continued to wallow in her pitiable lifestyle until she succumbed to the power of God during Mass Prayer at The SCOAN Sunday service.

During the Mass Prayer, the demon in her spoke out as it crawled menacingly like a wild cat, confessing the many evils it had done to destroy her life and that of her son. Weeping profusely as a sign of regret for all the evil spirit had led her to do against her will, she thanked God for giving her a new beginning through deliverance and advised people, especially parents, to monitor their wards and watch the things they give to them.

MASS PRAYER EXPELS DESTRUCTIVE DOG SPIRIT

Mr Alexander Johnson, a Liberian residing in Ghana was possessed by the spirit of a bush dog which tormented his life with several other spirits, including anger, lust and poverty. According to him, the genesis of his problem is traceable to his grandfather who was very traditional in nature and who took him to so many places. He recalled one occasion when his grandfather took him to a bush where he was given something that looked like palm wine to drink. Days after that experience, he found himself sleeping with a mentally impaired woman at the tender age of six. Since then, he had been lusting after young girls and elderly women alike. He also developed the spirit of anger after he saw a dog which was unable to bite him in his dream, appear and bite him in the leg the following day.

He had fathered three children from three different women and could not cater for them because he had nothing. The dog spirit also confessed to have been responsible for his poverty. Anytime he had sexual relationship with any woman, that woman’s progress depreciated. He impregnated many women and also helped them to abort the pregnancies. In all, he had aborted about twenty pregnancies. He would later be introduced to Emmanuel TV by a friend and was shocked when a prophecy by the man of God concerning Nigeria’s qualification for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa came to pass. After that experience, he made up his mind to visit The SCOAN.

Present in the church auditorium during a Sunday service, he manifested the dog spirit when authority was taken in the name of Jesus to pull down strongholds and wicked spirits as the Mass Prayer went on. Mr Johnson was eventually delivered and is now enjoying that inner peace and freedom associated with a soul that has found rest and restoration through Christ Jesus. He advised people to run to God whenever they notice strange things in their lives as events which seem ordinary may have extraordinary effects in the spirit.

A BUNCH OF MIRACLES FOR THE KOLOS

Mrs Kolo had come to The SCOAN with the problem of severe chest pain but received an entirely different prophecy from the man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua. Seated in the church auditorium, the man of God walked up to her and told her that there was a letter for her husband. At first she looked confused but eventually it dawned on her that the man of God was very correct with the prophetic message he had given her. Concerning her chest pain, all efforts by her husband who is a medical doctor, to treat her proved abortive as she had to be referred to a senior doctor. After several tests, nothing was found. The doctors, in their own human reasoning advised her not to get pregnant with the condition as it could threaten her life. She could not sleep at night and found it very difficult to drive. However, after her encounter with the man of God where after he had prayed for her, the pain disappeared. She now does those things she could not do before. She has even given birth to a baby girl to the glory of His name.

For Mr Kolo, the prophecy the man of God gave to his wife about a letter came to be fulfilled in multiple dimensions. Having prayed over the prophecy together with his wife amid ministration of the Morning Water, Mr Kolo received a letter after two weeks from the office of the Registrar, Bayero University Kano, confirming his promotion from the rank of Lecturer 1 to Senior Lecturer. Afterwards, he received a letter from the National Post Graduate Medical College of Nigeria appointing him as an Examiner even though he does not have the pre-requisite qualification. In the same vein, after one year, the West African College of Surgeons also appointed him as an Examiner without having the full qualification there either. In August 2015, he received another letter from the Registrar of Bayero University confirming that his papers have been submitted for consideration for promotion to the rank of Associate Professor.

Mr Kolo also received another letter from the Federal Government confirming him as one of the lucky applicants who won the YouWin grant for small scale businesses. In spite of all the challenges he encountered along the way, he was able to navigate his way out through the ministration of the Morning Water. He eventually got a letter affirming that he has been awarded a 10 million naira grant to start an ear, nose and throat clinic in Kano. Mr Kolo has dedicated his services mostly to the poor and less- privileged. He observed that his inspiration to help the poor and needy came from the counsels of the man of God who encourages people to reach out to the needy.

Finally, those who go the way of the Cross must understand that to a man of faith nothing is lacking while everything is necessary. God is concerned about you and the gracious call Christ gave to us to come to Him encourages our hope, that when we come to Him, we will receive freedom, power and grace, deliverance, healing and all of God’s blessings. The SCOAN Live Sunday Service of April 10, 2016 witnessed great exhortation of the Word aside from The SCOAN Choir’s choral counsel. Every song was tailored to suit a Scriptural purpose and remind congregants of their duties as Christians towards the world in which they live. The message of Evangelist Evelyn Joshua focused on THE IRONY OF FATE and reflected the essence of God in a man’s life. It also captured the intrigues involved in the Christian race which has never been a stroll in the park for anyone – not even for our Lord Jesus who had to die for our sake.

“In the world today, mankind has endless wishes and desires to suit the philosophy of what a successful life means to them. Many desire to be leaders – the spokesmen in that gathering, the pastors in this congregation, the chairmen of that forum, the Managing Director of that company – endless wishes. But it is not mere wishful thinking that brings about a contented life; it is a rightful focus. So, on what are you focusing? When you focus on God in your decision making, you are prepared for tomorrow.”

Evangelist Evelyn contended that it is only when our lives are focused on God that we are assured of a brighter tomorrow. But a brighter tomorrow is not without its own tests and trials that we must strive to overcome. We must endure, persevere and remain steadfast like great people of the Bible whose dependence on God paved the way for their eventual greatness: “If you carefully observe the lives of great men and women of faith, you will discover that their lives were centred on one thing – the Saviour first in mind. In all their steps, in every move they made, they were driven by Christ’s Spirit of hope, faith, patience, endurance, perseverance and forbearance for a better future. They had the right attitude to life by combining hard work with a quiet confidence in God, their source, for the future they desired not the one they feared”.

Evangelist Evelyn left the congregation to ponder over and derive inspiration from the following nugget: “The best are those who are destined for Heaven, those who internalise God and believe that the service of God is a thing of the mind. They are willing servants who do what the Lord puts in their mind to do. They mirror Christ; they are not swayed or moved by public attitude or opinion concerning what they believe. They are unique among the crowd”.

DELIVERED FROM THE SNAKE PIT
Mrs Idowu Gambo Dennis did not get the best of parental upbringing – her parents separated when she was barely a year old. Her mother remarried but her father did not, in the spirit of love for his five children, of which she was the last. Her father’s sister ended up raising them while her father supported them financially. Young Idowu did not see her mother again until she was fourteen. They planned for Idowu to attend school in Kaduna with her mother, however the plan fell through and she ended up spending just one school term there.

Her progress as a growing child was very unstable as she moved from place to place because of a faulty home front. At age 18, she met a man who wanted to marry her – a married man with four wives who did everything possible to entice her. Even her parents who were tormented by poverty tried to convince her to marry the man who was 30 years older than her. Despite the fact that she found it unthinkable to marry a man old enough to be her father, she ended up sleeping with him before finally making an escape from him.

As Idowu was growing older, she never had the slightest inkling that she was possessed until she reached the age of 34. She discovered that her dreams were dominated by snakes and she always felt a crawling sensation in her back. Her inter-personal relationships were also affected by the evil spirits that were working against her. She experienced so much hatred from people who called themselves her friends. Disappointments trailed her wherever she went and people who borrowed money from her refused to pay her back. One day while working in a hospital in the United States, she peeped into a ward only for a patient to shout out that he saw a mighty snake. The patient was considered to be insane but she realised the evil spirit within her was what the man had seen.

Realising that her snaky nightmares and the resultant gloom that always followed her life were not ordinary, she embarked on a long mission for solution. She visited many churches which confirmed she was possessed but could not deliver her. Her quest for deliverance took her to South Africa and Zimbabwe but nothing good came out of those trips. Discovering The SCOAN and Prophet T.B. Joshua via YouTube, she decided to visit Nigeria but was initially discouraged by a pastor. It was after all her efforts failed that she made up her mind to visit The SCOAN.

Seated in the auditorium during The SCOAN Mass Prayer, the demon in her made her run away from the fire that pervaded the atmosphere. But after the service, the Holy Spirit arrested her in a special prayer session in which the demon, bombarded by heavy anointing, spoke out through its host: “She refused to marry me; so, I projected a serpent. I am at her back as a serpent. I don’t care about her family. I just don’t want her to make it. We are cultists. You cannot take her from me. I have been here for a long time, for almost thirty years. They advised her not to come here but she insisted that she must come. I am the head of Ogboni (cult).” The man of God, taking authority in the name of Jesus, commanded the demon out of Mrs Idowu Dennis who immediately fell to the ground.

Returning to the church for her testimony, Mrs Dennis thanked God for her freedom from captivity and urged people to put aside the falsehoods they are told about The SCOAN, stressing that God is here.

SLEEP APNEA LOSES ITS GRIP FOREVER

For ten years, Mr Agyei Boateng suffered from obstructive sleep apnea, a condition that prevented restive, uninterrupted sleep. The problem led him to travel to the UK for medical attention and it was so severe that a surgery was carried out on him. There was no respite for the Ghanaian in spite of the money spent and efforts made trying to seek solution. His daughter, an ardent watcher of Emmanuel TV, introduced him to the channel. After watching several times, Mr Boateng’s faith was built to an unshakeable level, so much so that he decided to visit The SCOAN.

On getting to The SCOAN, father and daughter were placed in the Prayer Line with the father connected to his oxygen machine. The man of God, Prophet T.B. Joshua, on sighting Mr Boateng, handed out a bottle of the Morning Water to the daughter and asked her to minister it to her father. While ministering the Morning Water, the young woman fell to the ground, immediately under the influence of the Holy Spirit. The man of God thereafter instructed Mr Boateng to minister the Morning Water to himself. As he ministered it, his body began shivering under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Commanding him to remove the oxygen machine, the man of God declared him free and he was free indeed, through Christ Jesus.

Testifying before the congregants, Mr Boateng, in company of his daughter, praised God for healing him and restoring his sleep. He advised people all over the world in the following words: “God does miracles through the Morning Water. Anytime you are praying, pray for the man of God”.

STIFF NECK LOOSENED BY GRACE

For Mr Aloysius Osuiwu, it was pain all through as he battled with a stiff neck caused by cervical spondylosis and degenerative disc disease after he was involved in a motor accident. The indigene of Imo, Nigeria experienced serious discomfort, especially at night. Whenever he wanted to sleep, he was forced to keep his head facing up. He could not sit properly without support. He had been to four different hospitals and had spent a fortune but no respite still. He was confined to a neck collar after all medications failed to bring about any improvement. The option of surgery was there but he declined the offer. Recalling a horrible dream his daughter had in which he died in a motor accident, he concluded that his problem might be spiritual and instead opted to visit The SCOAN.

On coming to The SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for him. According to him, during the prayer with Prophet T.B. Joshua, he felt a sensation and heard a sound like a bone being fixed back to its normal position. In an instant, he felt no more pain and stood up celebrating his healing to the glory of God.

Thanking God for his healing amid demonstrations of his total fitness, Mr Osuiwu said he now does all the things he could not do when he had the problem. “We should look for Jesus Christ; He is our solution,” he advised people the world over.

INITIATED THROUGH A DRINK; DELIVERED THROUGH A WORD

“There is a brother under the canopy – you are an armed robber.” Sitting in the overflow congregation at The SCOAN, Chukwuma Emengini sat listening to the message from Prophet T.B. Joshua in shock. Church was the last place he had wanted to be on the weekend – a time he wanted to spend with his gang. Chukwuma’s life, though young, was already marked with violence, crime and witchcraft. It all started with the friends he had chosen. After celebrating a football victory with friends, one of them dropped a charm into a glass of alcohol and asked him to drink it. He hesitated but since it was given to him by a friend, he agreed to drink it. The unthinkable then began. On the very day he took that drink, he had a bad dream in which he found himself breaking into people’s shops and houses, stealing their belongings. Subsequently the urge to steal built its tent in his heart to the extent that he consulted a native doctor who prepared a charm for him to make his body impregnable to bullets and knives. An incision was made on his hand to complete the diabolic fortification and the native doctor tested his charm on the lad to ensure that it was working by firing a shot into the boy’s arm which bounced off and hacking at his head with a sword, which also left no mark. Initially, Chukwuma and his friend who gave him the charmed drink started as pick-pockets and progressed rapidly towards becoming armed robbers. After every successful operation, they would relax in night clubs and squander their loot on alcohol, cigarettes and drugs.

However, as strong Christians, his parents had noticed their son’s strange behaviour and had made up their minds to bring him to the Arena of Liberty lest he die an untimely death. Seated under one of the overflow canopies, the young man received the following prophecy from the man of God: “There is somebody under the canopy out there. The reason I am calling you is because you are a thief. You have that spirit of stealing. You have graduated to a high level of robbery… you need deliverance because this thing keeps tormenting you.” The young man made his way into the auditorium and confirmed the prophecy after which he received deliverance in the mighty name of Jesus. Thanking God for the deliverance of his son, his father, Mr Ikechukwu Emengini advised people, especially parents, to put their hope and trust in God.

PROPHETIC WORD RESTORES CEASED MENSTRUATION AFTER 17 YEARS
Mrs Helen Nathaniel had the problem of ceased menstruation for 17 years. She went to many specialist hospitals in search of a solution and was diagnosed with hormonal imbalance by various doctors. The doctors could not provide her with a permanent solution and could only prescribe multiple medications for her. She started going around to different churches in search of solution to her problem. She was even frustrated more as she was asked to ‘offer’ a lot of money in exchange for their so called ‘deliverance’ but deliverance never came. After she had spent all her money in the ‘churches’, she decided to pray on her own.

One day, she received a flyer to visit a church and when she went to the church, they encouraged everyone to watch Emmanuel TV. Following their recommendation, she installed Emmanuel TV and began watching it daily and praying along with Prophet T.B. Joshua. One night, she had a dream in which Prophet T.B. Joshua prayed for her. Immediately after the prayer, she saw two dwarf-like beings leaving her body.

This prompted her decision to visit The SCOAN. On the Sunday she arrived, she was perplexed to discover that while she had come all the way from Abuja to enter the church, upon the point of entry, something in her told her not to. The SCOAN ushers, seeing her hesitation, encouraged her to enter the church to receive her deliverance. Finally, she agreed to enter the auditorium and during the Sunday service, Prophet T.B. Joshua came straight to her and gave her a prophetic word. He prophesied that she was suffering from ceased menstruation and then prayed for her in the name of Jesus Christ.

That night in her hotel room, she began to feel strange sensations in her abdomen and in the morning, her deliverance was miraculously confirmed – her long ceased menstruation had started flowing.

Mrs Helen’s advice to everyone was, “Be patient and trust in God. Only God can heal you. Look for a living church and worship there”.

Brethren, as we keep doing the will of our God and focusing on him alone, we are assured of a great tomorrow, irrespective of what the irony of fate brings our way. Because he lives we can face tomorrow!

The SCOAN Sunday Service of 31^st July, 2016 was a special package from the Holy Spirit. From the songs of the choir to the wonderful testimonies, the presence of God was demonstrated beyond doubt. Congregants had the opportunity to watch clips of the Morning Water ministration during the just concluded South Korea, 2016 Pastors’ Conference with Prophet T.B. Joshua. They witnessed the power of God at work, breaking yokes, healing different kinds of ailments and delivering souls from the captivity of satan.

Evangelist Edward animated the atmosphere with evangelical zest when he delivered his edifying message titled LEARN OBEDIENCE. He reminded Christians that whenever they are faced with challenging situations, they always have two options. One is to act from their own human frailties or to obey and abide by the Spirit of God: “But in the moment of decision, you are presented with two options: to act out of character and react badly, emotionally or intellectually to the weight of your situation or to trust the Holy Spirit in the midst of your challenges and respond by the Spirit. You can choose to learn offence, anger and disobedience or you can choose to learn obedience to the will of God.”

Citing the sufferings of Christ and how He obeyed and abided by the will of His father, Evangelist Edward observed that a Christian’s character is shaped by the difficulties he encounters as he journeys through life with all its ups and downs: “The way a Christian’s character grows through obedience is by facing difficulties and dealing with problems. As a Christian, what you are going through serves a useful purpose: To form and strengthen your character and to prepare you for the eternal glory that lies ahead.”

He concluded by encouraging Christians to accept and embrace every difficult challenge as an opportunity to pass through God’s refinement process, stating that many have missed the glory ahead because of their refusal to accept the process: “Whatever situation you are passing through is an opportunity for you to learn obedience to the will of God. However, many of us are rejecting the process, the method, the very instrument God is using to refine us. This is why we remain as we are. That is why all we go through seems to be wasted. We will continue to repeat the test until we learn our lesson and pass it.”

“THOUGH THE VISION TARRIED, GOD’S APPOINTED TIME CAME TO ME AT THE SCOAN”

After failing her Bar Final exams at the Nigerian Law School, Abuja campus in 2015, Miss Chikodi Iwu realised that her failure was not ordinary. Recalling that her family had had a pedigree of backwardness and limitation in progress, the picture of what was going on became clearer to her. No one in her entire family had ever attained success academically. It took her eleven years to gain admission into university and after graduating, an evil tormenting spirit had vowed never to allow her to become a Barrister. That failure at the law school in 2015 became a sore point in her life as all subsequent efforts she made resulted in disappointment.

As soon as she started preparing for a resit of the exams, all those who supported her in the past abandoned her, thinking she was an incurable failure. She had to beg to be able to survive and faced serious accommodation problems. As the resit exams approached, she could not concentrate. Frustrated by different worries, she had to run to a pastor who was a staff of the Nigerian Law School in Abuja. The pastor revealed to her that her problem was from her village and advised her to visit The SCOAN, stressing that she doesn’t need to see the man of God in person before her situation would be turned around.

Visiting The SCOAN during a Sunday service, Chikodi witnessed God’s power as soon as Mass Prayer started. Immediately Prophet T.B Joshua raised his voice to lead prayer, Miss Iwu started screaming and shaking uncontrollably, attracting the attention of ushers who held her while the evil spirit spoke through her. The evil spirit confessed that it had wanted to kill her and destroy every good thing in her life, including her educational aspirations. Taking authority in the name of Jesus, the man of God commanded the evil spirit out of her. Delivered and redeemed from the oppression of the devil, Miss Iwu received two Good Morning Stickers from Prophet T.B. Joshua.

Wrapping the Good Morning Stickers around her writing pens, she returned to Abuja and unwrapped them as she sat for the exams. To God be the glory, after the exams, she came out in flying colours. Her results qualified her to be called to the Nigerian bar. A dream of eighteen years finally came to fruition after her encounter with the power of God at The SCOAN. Today, Miss Chikodi Iwu is addressed as Barrister Chikodi Iwu – a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. Thanking God during her testimony, she told congregants that she is the first in her family to break the so-called jinx of attaining university level and graduating as a qualified lawyer. She promised to serve God diligently.

“GOD DESTROYED MY EVIL POWERS AND GAVE ME A NEW LIFE IN CHRIST”

Mr Ifeanyi was deep into fetish engagements right from his childhood days when he was twelve years old. His grandfather, a witch doctor initiated him into witchcraft when he took him to his shrine and instructed him never to allow the water in a particular pot get dry. Days later, his grandfather became ill and demanded to see his father in order to hand over the affairs of the dark arts to him. But when Ifeanyi’s father arrived at the hospital where the old man was ailing away, the old man denied him, saying he was not the one to take over the shrine from him.

When Ifeanyi arrived at the hospital, he met his grandmother, who on seeing him rushed to go and call the nurse. But while she left the hospital room, his grandfather had laid hands on his head – an act that sent cold shivers down his whole body. After that episode, he fell asleep only to be woken up by nurses later. He was asked to go home, unknown to him that his grandfather had passed on. But the laying of hands on his head meant a lot even though he did not know. When it became public knowledge that his grandfather was dead, a meeting of witchdoctors was convened to deliberate on their member’s burial. Before his corpse was buried, Ifeanyi was given white powder by the witchdoctors to administer on grandfather’s face.

After the burial, Ifeanyi continued to carry out the instructions the old man had given to him before he died. But he would soon be faced with a dilemma as his father insisted on destroying the shrine, saying it was the cause of the animosity between their family and people of the village. Ifeanyi’s father actually came with anointed oil which he handed over to his son to minister on the shrine before it would be destroyed. Unknown to his father, Ifeanyi had removed some fetish items from the shrine and had kept them in his own room.

Ifeanyi would go ahead to destroy the shrine as directed by his father. While digging to uproot some of the evil pots buried under the soil, a bird and smoke flew out from one of the pots. An enraged Ifeanyi told his father that he should be ready to face the consequences of that action. When the witchdoctors discovered that the shrine had been destroyed on the directive of Ifeanyi’s father, they afflicted him with poison and he died. After the death of his father, the witchdoctors regrouped and tried to retrieve a fetish staff from him. Ifeanyi would not be cowed into releasing the staff given to him by his late grandfather. His defiance attracted their wrath as they fought him through all sorts of demonic manipulations.

After undergoing all sorts of spiritual fortification in different shrines and through initiations, Ifeanyi managed to withstand the fetish battle between him and his enemies. On many occasions, the river goddess controlling one of the rivers where he was initiated would appear to him in dreams giving him evil counsel. She had told him what to do to become very powerful and had also given him a live fish to swallow. Ifeanyi eventually swallowed a live fish physically and later started carrying masquerades from village to village. He became so popular that people consulted him for spiritual help. Truck drivers consulted him for amulets to prevent robbery attacks and accidents on the road. Women who were desperate to marry also came and received ‘solution’.

All efforts to neutralise his evil powers through prayers proved abortive as he used some fetish items to cause heavy sleeping among the ‘prayer warriors’ whenever they gathered to pray against him. Ifeanyi became a very notorious witchdoctor that had many evil powers. He wore some around his waist while others were in different parts of his body. He continued to live with his evil powers, tormenting and oppressing people until a certain man appeared in his dream and kept telling him, “Son, follow me.” The man and his voice kept recurring to him in a mysterious dream-like experience until he found himself in Lagos at The SCOAN being bombarded by the Spirit of God in the Morning Water medium. The evangelist commanded the evil spirit in him to speak and it revealed so many horrible things it had done to Mr Ifeanyi’s life. Said it, among other things, “No man can bring him down. No masquerade in the land of the east can bring him down.” Through the power in the blood of Jesus, Mr Ifeanyi was brought down with his back on the floor while the evil spirit was cast out completely. During his testimony, a completely transformed Mr Ifeanyi said he has surrendered his life to Christ and will continue to be devoted to the Word of God. He advised people in the following words, “There is no other way; Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the life.”

LOST JOB RESTORED
For four years, Mr Acha Vincent Njeok was out of employment. The former IT Officer in the Cameroonian Ministry of Sports and Physical Education faced a lot of difficulties trying to keep body and soul together. In the midst of all the hardship, he had encountered a friend who just returned from Nigeria. He asked his friend if he had visited The SCOAN and went further to demand the Morning Water from him. His friend asked him to come over the next day. Getting to his friend’s house, they prayed together. Thereafter, his friend asked him to buy a bottle of mineral water so he could minister some drops of the Morning Water into it for him.

After getting the bottle of mineral water, Mr Njeok received just three drops of the Morning Water into the beverage. With that, he continued to pray that his sacking should be reversed. In February this year, he was recalled to his place of work and entrusted with more responsibility as Chief of the Department of Maintenance. He was also recommended to travel to Europe for more training on the job. Thanking God for the restoration of his job, promotion and recommendation for foreign travel, Mr Njeok also testified to his healing from a strange and debilitating tumor (that had developed around his anal region) through the same Morning Water medium. “I advise viewers that if you have the Morning Water, you can do anything. With the Morning Water, you can cross the oceans by faith, in Jesus’ name!”, he said.
